Chapter 17: ZOE YOU'RE SAFE

Zhang You was cuffed and taken to the police car. No probem occured since she was sleeping and she will only get a big deal of surprise when waking up. Lin Zoe was satisfied that she was finally out of problems and could make it out alive.

Shen hurriedly came upstairs and hugged her.

"Zoe you're safe!" he said gently. Lin Zoe did not felt great and pushed him away. "Shen Zi where were you? I was worried." she sobbed in tears.

She hugged him and cried greatly. "I thought I almost died." Shen sighed and patted her hair.

"I dealt with the killers and asked someone to shoot Zhang You with a sleeping needle. Then we called the police," 

She was perplexed and looked at him strangely. "How did you know the killer was Zhang You and how did you prepared everything so well in advance?" she asked. He hugged her softly and gave her a passionate gaze. 

"I told you that, I will not let anyone bully you Zoe." 

Zoe felt deeply his words and realized the platform show was done. She had security and comfort in his hands and no one will lay a hand on her anymore. At one moment, she almost though she died. "Shen we should not stay here. Let"s go back home." 

"Yes!" he replied

He held her in his arms and carried her off to the car. As he entered, he covered her with his black coat and started the engine for home. They were both stressed and tired. Zoe was worried about what happened to the people who helped him and his very own physique. 

Her worried mind didn't gave her the time to think and she slept off peacefully. Shen had noticed it and switched the conditioner to cold, for her to sleep well. The night was blank and Shen only had to face for a wide justice court impeachment which will proceed by the next day.

His impatience to see Zhang You imprisoned was beyond explanation and he could only wish for her to stay there as long as possible. All the chesses will be played by tommorow so he had to be prepared. 

Lin Zoe also will be present and will have report any stalking or possible aggression she may have done to her. Any clue will be sure to make her stay in prison for good. The car had stopped and was parked inside the garage. 

Shen brought her in and she went in the bathroom to take a bath. As she finished bathing she quickly hushed in the bed and covered herself with the blanket. Zoe was tired and only kept trying to close her eyes, thinking all what happened was just a dream. 

Tightening even closer to the blanket, she turned herself in the bed and rolled all the blanket on her. The hot air of the room made her unable to sleep and she tried hard to maintain herself. 

"This air is so hot. Ahhh, I'm rolled up in this blanket."

She tried to reach the conditioner's remote but instantly fell on the cold floor. As she felt, she utterly sighed and just stayed calm. Shen entered the room and found her trying to climb on the bed. 

"Zoe what are you doing?" 

She smiled and responded, "I fell off from the bed and now I'm trying to get back. The air is hot too, please help me put it on." 

Shen only patted her dull head and helped her to the bed. 

"Why couldn't you tell me? Let me help you." 

He took the remote on the small cupboard and switched the conditioner. The room became cool and made her feel better. She sighed while Shen smiled and went for the bathroom. Before he could enter the bathroom, Zoe had stopped him. 

"Shen... thank you for what you did for me." He looked up at her and pressed his hand on his chin. "I'm glad but don't I need ... a reward?"

She was perplexed and thinked hard. "What reward will you like?" 

"I just want a kiss."

The heart of Lin Zoe thumped out from her chest and all her face became red. He moved closely to the immobile woman and kissed her on the cheek. 

"I got my reward. Now sleep!"  

She went back to her bed and slept peacefully. About what happened with Zhang You, she was still perplexed about it and promised herself to find out what exactly happened. 

"Shen, I did not still made it clear. You will explain me everything..."

The next day, it was the time for the judgement of Zhang You at court. Zhang You had spent a night in jail and was kept as the accused. Police officers had asked her many questions as she stayed in the questioning room. 

This day was time both Shen and Zoe were waiting for. Such a dangerous person as Zhang You had to be jailed. 

They sat at the dining table and ate the breakfast made by Zoe. It was a plain, simple and light breakfast she had made to brighten the day and lighten them. They had to be focused at court without letting anything distract them. 

Zoe finished eating and took both dishes to the washing. She sat back on her chair and looked at Shen. 

"Shen did you liked the breakfast?" 

He smiled and replied, "Yes, thank you it was delicious." She sighed and looked serious as she gazed at him. 

Shen saw the way she fixed him and got intrigued. But, before he could say anything, he was stopped by her. 

"Shen before we leave for the court, don't you have some things to tell me?" He was startled and gently asked, "What do you want we talk about?" 

She sighed and looked straight. 

"What exactly happened during the platform show? How did you know anything about Zhang You? Explain me!"

The Dinning was filled with silence. They were both looking at each other and the fragrance of the flowers delicately placed for the morning was breezing fragrantly. Shen intended to keep it for himself but felt it wrong to refuse her this. 

If she wanted to know, then... she could.

"Before we leave, let me explain you."
