Her fist clenched as she swallowed, her heart burning with rage when her mind reminisced the hurtful memories.
She did everything Cory asked since Cory always helped her in pursuing Shan and that was what she thought until she got married and accidentally found out that Cory never really helped her, she always bad mouthed about her in front of Shan.
Their childhood memories and how they laughed while running near the sea shore, everything become painful the opposite of how it used to be for her.
The more she cherished a moment together with someone, the more she felt painful when that someone betrayed her.
I wonder why I could never move on even though I got another life to live? Was it because of regret? Hmm… Elin took a deep breath and calmed herself.
Just by seeing Cory, she was so emotionally drained then what will happen if she sees Shan? He was a part of almost half of her life she lived, what will happen if she meets him again?
Those thoughts scared her but remaining calm was the best she could do and at least she knew that she have no love left for him and the most she could have for him would be only hatred.
Opening her wardrobe, she found everything at its place as it used to be, her eyes closed and mind wondering whether coming back to her past life was a good thing or not.
Whatever it was, she didn’t knew how she came back neither she had any idea of how to go back to her second life.
Fighting, Elin! You can do it.
She motivated herself to move forward.
And with this I will erase all my regrets I had in this life of mine and move forward. With her fist clenched and raised, she smiled with enthusiasm and took her school dress similar to what Cory was wearing.
White colored shirt and a pink over coat, pink check skirt above her knees and shoes of the same color. She looked as youthful as she remembered but the only difference was that she didn’t put on heavy make up while going to school as she used to do.
Letting her long black hair flutter freely and big blue eyes sparkle and charm others, she stepped out of her room, a school bag on her shoulder.
“Father!” she subconsciously muttered those words as she used to do in the past before going down through the stairs just beside her room door.
The Faven residence occupied three rooms each attached with a bathroom, a kitchen fixed with dining table and a hall room where she was about to reach by going down through the stairs.
Mr. Faven was having a chat with Cory while sitting on the dining table waiting for Elin to arrive and as he heard her voice, his eyes turned big staring her, “Elin! Come have a seat before breakfast gets cold”.
He looked a bit shocked seeing that Elin have not put any makeup as she used to do while going to the school still he didn’t pointed it out and asked her to have a seat next to him.
It brings back memories. He is still the person he used to be as warmth as ever. His warm smile even after working so hard while taking care of the real estates he owns and supporting the orphanage while doing some other company related jobs, he is the best father anyone can have.
I understood it after he died and that was, too, late. In my second life, I was a orphan myself and I missed him so much that…
her eyes become teary and fist clenched on the rail set at the corner of the stair. Remembering her past was very painful but now she was back, all she could do was rewrite the past and die a regret less death.
She was yanked back from her thoughts when her father stood up from his chair cautiously and worriedly. He realized even from far away that his daughter was sad. His movement during he stood up caused some noise and Elin was brought back to the real world she was living currently.
“Elin, are you alright?” he asked as cautiously as ever, his voice soft and polite.
Elin ran down on the stairs to reach him and stopped after putting her hand on his which was outstretched for her, “Yeah! I am totally fine”.
Mr. Faven gently stroked her head, “If you are having any trouble then tell me".
The emotional state in which Elin was could not be understood by others so easily but just to calm her overprotective father, Elin smiled and nodded.
Cory rolling her eyes in annoyance of seeing the father and daughter relationship blooming even though she wanted to ruin it.
Elin glanced at the food prepared for them and then looked at Cory, who was having it already while her father dishes were still untouched, “Lets eat father".
They both sat back to have the food.
Enough with reminiscing, I have to get over with it and play cool. Elin with her lips pursed shook her emotional state and exhaled after preparing herself for changing the future.
Many things were still going on in her mind and it was mostly about her father but she got annoyed by the sight of Cory.
Why can’t she just go to school, why must she come here to interfere between us? She frowned, her head down and mouth moving as she kept chewing furiously while glaring Cory in her thoughts.
I must do something about her! She took another big bite and frowned.
“Elin,” Mr. Faven patted her head and she looked at him while being startled, “the day after tomorrow, it’s your birthday, what do you want?”.
His shiny and tired blue eyes looking at her to hear her wish yet he looked cautious and tensed and it seemed that Cory have said something to him which have made him worried.
“Since we are celebrating my birthday, how about inviting children’s from orphanage, they will be very happy,” her words left him in shock and not just him but also Cory.
She tilted her head as a gesture to get reply from Mr. Faven, her father. But he was, too, shocked to say anything, his eyes slowly turned toward Cory, whose jaws were dropped in shock. “How can you do that, Elin?” she questioned her ignoring Mr. Faven questionable stare toward her. “Why? What’s wrong with this?” Elin shrugged her shoulder and raised her eyebrows. Impersonator? For a second Cory wondered whether someone else was in front if her and not Elin. The mean Elin, who only cared about getting what she wants was thinking about orphanage children, what was she up, too? Then at the second thought, she might be thinking about calling those children to impress Shan. Cory snickered and smirked, her hand covering her evil and vile smirk. She knew that Shan hated fake people the most and couldn’t bear them and if he know
Yeah, she finally remembered and gasped. Student Noel was someone who had a big impression on her even though he never once had a single conversation with her. She remembered that the classroom teacher asked him to be her desk mate and at that time she was sitting on the first bench. She refused to share her seat since she stubbornly claimed that her desk mate can only be Shan and no one else and later he walked back and sat beside Shan since it was the last vacant seat left in the classroom. They never had a conversation but she saw him often since he and Shan friendship grew within a week and the last she remembered was him dying in a car accident after taking classes for a week in the school. So, it left quite a big impression on her since he had become very popular in the school. And what more, her engagement with White’s also got canceled from there side although she never knew the real rea
The door knob fallen into pieces in front of their shoes made them gulp and look at each other while being perplexed. “Was it her?” Bardie asked from other girls and they shrugged their shoulder in return. “Lets get going before anyone see us here near the broken knob,” Bardie said and they stepped out but the fat toilet keeper was glaring at them while standing straight and keeping her hands near her hip. She was taller then them and looked scary enough to make them sweat hardly. Bardie glanced at the left while looking a little down and she saw Elin winking at her while walking away. Her blood boiled and she become enraged, “That scheming b*tch!” she shouted and got another glare from the fat toiled keeper. “How dare you call me scheming after breaking the knob. He felt frustrated keeping his hand outstretched to shake with Shiwei but all he got was a glare from him rather then a friendly gesture. Taking his hand back and brushing his hair with that hand, he smiled to control the awkwardness, “Hmm.. its been over 24 years since I have been here but I don’t see my brother anywhere neither his wife". His eyes wondering behind Wang Shiwei and he ignored him to step away. For some reason he looked quite desperate to meet his brother or maybe Aili! His eyes met Jully’s, who was like a ferocious beast glaring at him. This time she didn’t said anything and kept calm since Caixia was beside her, “How are you? Are you doing fine? What did the doctor said?”. Jully within one breath said all that. Caixia smiled and her eyes stopped at her wounds, “Lets get you treated first and we will think about other

Disconcerted about what just happened! Elin looked around carefully. Her eyes wide open. It’s like she just saw something really unbelievable.
