Chapter 3 He Just Found A Prey!

"It's Tomorrow Lincoln, do you have a bride yet?"

Hearing those words from the other side of the phone, Lincoln Harvey scowled at his father who acted as if he cared.

"Very soon" his monotone voice came out, his icy cold eyes looked around as he turned to face the bureau, he'll just do this very quick and get out of here.

His father, Conan gushed out "Very Good then, just know what's at stake if you fail" with that, the call ended and Lincoln scoffed, feeling very ridiculous that he later found himself in such a pathetic situation, his mood dampened.

Lincoln Harvey turned towards the other three men who were present.

Two were a bit far off as they were his bodyguards, their eyes scanning everywhere.

The other man close to the car had his head down as he gripped his phone tightly, afraid of meeting the cold eyes of the man approaching.

"She backed out??" The already angry Lincoln asked a bit as he walked towards the car and stood there with both hands inside his pocket.

The man who seemed to be his secretary, nodded "I'm afraid, yes Sir!" He said as he swallowed a lump in his throat, suddenly looking small when In the same space as the boss.

Lincoln smirked coldly, his lips trembling a bit "Albert is really to be reckoned with!" He uttered with narrowed eyes.

"Sir....we have to be fast about it, the Board meeting is Tomorrow...you"

"Shut up!" Lincoln said with freezing eyes as he dropped his eyes on the figure coming in from afar.

The young girl had a very cold face with a fuming expression, her lips were pouted as she matched out of the bureau, where he stood was a bit far off from where she was, the thing that captivated him more was the wedding dress she was putting on.

His eyes constricted as an unknown expression crossed his face but was immediately replaced with his usual cold face.

His eyes are not giving anything out.

The secretary didn't say a word as he stood there, waiting for his next command.

"Firstly, Make sure that the lady's father rots in jail and her father's company goes bankrupt....you have only today to do that!"

Lincoln gritted out with cold eyes.

Wanting to ditch him?? She made a grave mistake.

The lady named Theodora, who Lincoln had an agreement with to come to take a wedding certificate to stabilize his position as CEO of Harvey Groups, called his assistant a few minutes ago when they had already arrived at the Bureau that she wouldn't be able to make it, that the deal should be cut off.

Failure for Lincoln Harvey to provide a wife before the board of directors and his father, Conan Harvey, by tomorrow, his position as CEO would be handed over to his younger brother, Albert Harvey.

Rumor has it that he might probably be into men since he was never in close contact with women and has never dated any other lady since his first relationship failed ten years ago. There was no such news or scandals about him that involved women.

The secretary nodded multiple times as he took his phone to make phone calls.

Lincoln's tall figure towered because of his broad shoulders, he was wearing a brown tuxedo and matching torso and black leather shoes, the white sleeve hiding under the tuxedo sparkled with its rare fabrics.

His Rolex Wristwatch sat comfortably on his wrist complimenting his fine and smooth skin, his eyes were slightly deep, with swordlike eyebrows that made the eyes a little bit hidden.

Just then, his phone rang and he grumbled a bit before pulling it out of his pant's pocket and bringing it closer to his ear after connecting the call.

"Speak" his mood has been dampened by all the recent challenges for him, he hates the fact that he had to get married.

"Elder Brother..." Albert's feigned sweet voice came from the other side and Lincoln dimmed his eyes in disgust.

"Why did you call Albert??" He immediately went straight to the point as he wasn't up for his usual banter games.

"I just wanted to call to know how you're fairing since your bride turned you down and you have less than twenty-four hours to get yourself a wife..." he clicked his tongue before he added "What a pressure and a hassle"

Lincoln tightened his grip on the phone and his jaw clenched "I will get a bride and you'll pay for interfering in my matters"

Albert scoffed "It's my turn to take over the family's company Lincoln, just let it be....your bride backed out and that simply shows that you're not destined to be the sole president of that company...it belongs to me!!"

Lincoln's eyes darkened "She would have not back out if you did not interfere but then again, she'll get a dose of her own medicine"

"Don't put in the effort anymore brother, give up already" Albert reminded.

"You know nothing about Business Albert and it'll do you more good if you don't double-cross me next time, it will end so badly for you" he warned strictly and Albert sighed over the phone.

Already so pissed, Lincoln ended the call and dipped his phone Into his pant pocket again.

Meanwhile, Lincoln Harvey, the cold man, his eyes followed the young lady who was coming in their direction.

His eyes scanned her body and he couldn't seem to take his eyes off her disheveled figure, she looked battered and exhausted.

With that gown crawling along her, her hair was in a messy bun...

His sharp senses picked up her swearing words as she moved away from the bureau, she kept muttering curses like an angry bird who had been deprived of bread.

"This doesn't look like a bride" Lincoln muttered to himself but after a while, his lips tinted up, and his eyes grew even colder and deeper but they contained amusement.

Remembering something, he smirked as if he just found a prey.

His curled lips uttered "Interesting piece"
