ERAGON THE DRAGON PRINCE

CHAPTER 1: DRAGONS

It is a little past 8pm and the moon is full and well lit. It is bedtime for seven years old Elizabeth and she is all ready for bed. Teeth flossed, hair brushed and nighties worn. Her sister Historia a seventeen years old red head decides to spice up story time tonight. Instead of reading from the regular bedtime stories, she chooses to tell a story from an old fantasy novel. Historia tokes in her sister in place, as she stands up to dramatize the story with her red eyes wild open. Elizabeth packs her beautiful blond hair in a ponytail as she widens her red ruby eyes as well in suspense.

“Dragons!”Historia begins.

“Those scary looking, regal gigantic birds, with ginormous bar-like wings and heads like huge lizards clustered with horns and impregnable scales. They have long bard tails like armored horses, and sharp-clawed teeth that can rip you apart and chew your bones. They spit out volcanic fire that can devour a whole city.

“Dragons are seen in myths and legends across different cultures across the world. From the great serpent Jormug of old nose, to evil Fafner slay in Iceland saga or the Loong of china that bring good fortune. The battles of kingdoms and the wars of knights and dragon-riders are seen all over history. Although dragons are gone for now, extinct from minds and times, legend has it that they will be back, spreading their wings through the clouds, scales eclipsing the sun.”

"Historia, do dragons really exist?” Elizabeth asks in terror.

"Haha! Nah, they don't. They are just figments of the imagination, they only exist in fantasy books" she says with a mischievous smile.

"But rumor has it that the mighty dragons persist to this very day. Some old folks believe that they are hiding in the shadows waiting for a chance to come back. A chance to come and eat you up!"Historia says as she grabs her sister by the arm.

"Aaaaaaahh! Leave me alone! Mummy!" Elizabeth screams.

"Come on girls go to sleep, its past your bedtime." a voice said from the hallway.

Their father walks into the room with a smile. He has short brown hair, and red eyes, with a thin mustache that frames his face.

“You really should be asleep by now” he says.

"Darling leave the girls alone, they are having a little fun bed time. Come on lets go sleep” their mom says as she walks in behind him. She’s a beautiful woman with long silk black and purple eyes. Her long pink flowing nightgown reveals her slender body.

“Alright then. Goodnight my darlings” their father says as he and their mom walks out of the room.

“Good night daddy!”

“So as I was saying…” Historia continues.

Several minutes later, a man in an aristocratic suit attire with a top hat walking down the street feels an unusual rush of wind. He looks up at the sky and sees colossal flames with three giant creatures descending swiftly.

Suddenly a loud bang hits the city. Thud! It lifts pedestrians off their feet, ramming them to the ground.

"What the hell is that noise?” Historia says as she walks towards the window to see what is happening, Elizabeth trails behind her.

"What the hell is going on? Those are the city sirens? They only go off during an emergency that affects the whole city district.”

Historia and Elizabeth look through with both of their hands placed on the glassy window. Their eyes widen in shock and fear.

Elizabeth quivering holds unto her sister’s clothes. "Sister I thought you said dragons don’t exist. Then what is that?” She questions pointing her hands towards the distance.

They see on the street a 200meter towering giant snake beast standing tall. It has scales and spikes from his head down to its barbed tail holding unto a flaming rope. Its head is in a shape of a large cobra with wings and it has two black human-like hands and feet.

Two mighty scale dragons are roaring and in pursuit of it. One was red and the other was black. They have yellow-red eyes, and huge spike scales from their heads down to their barbed tails. A colossal strip of fire erupted from the black dragon mouth making the cold night look as if it was day.

The towering structures and the two to three-story mansions were like boxes beside these beasts. The dragons pour out a sea of flames that engulfed every building around it. The large beast swings his flame rope into the air, it rams the black dragon flames off his mouth. The flaming rope strapped around the red dragon’s neck. The beast drags it spinning the dragon in the air. He swings the mighty dragon down, crashing its body on the city buildings. The snake beast swiftly bites its neck with paralyzing poison and swings it into the air with flames.

The dragon flies and crashes into a building where the Historia and Elizabeth were. The flame suddenly engulfs the roof of the building. The dragon stands up and flies towards the beast the poison has however taken a toll on his body, he falls crashing to the ground.

Historia picks her little sister running towards the door. She tries to open the door but it is jammed. Swiftly, she sets up a table and begin to grab things that look useful to her. She found some pipes, a crowbar, and a rusty steam lawnmower.

“Ugh!" she looks up at the ceiling. Sparks of flame is flickering past the roof. She panics, grabs the crowbar and begins to bang it against the shed wall.

"It's not working! Mummy! Daddy!" Elizabeth screams.

Historia grabs clothes, runs into the bathroom and soaks them in water. She swiftly straps them around Elizabeth’s head. The fire starts to spread onto the shed. Huge balls of smoke flows inside.

Bu-bump, bu-bump! Historia could hear her heart beating loudly as she gasped for air. The smoke burned her watering eyes causing her vision to turn blurry.

"What do I do? What do I do?” She groans as some flames cause minor burns on her arms bu-

bump! bu-bump!! She could hear her heartbeat louder and louder. Suddenly she could feel the world slowing down around her almost as if time had stopped. The door suddenly opens.

"What just happened?” Elizabeth asked.

"I don't know, but whatever it is. Thank God for it".

They ran through the hallway and they saw part of the house had collapsed. Through the opening they could see the weak dragon transforming into a human boy. Historia gasp in shock and disbelief.

"That was the- the dragon. He’s a dragon boy"Historia stutters.

They could also see the red dragon and the beast still fighting in the sea of flames, the bright yellow flames reflecting in their eyes. People were running towards the city walls. Outside the city is surrounded by large walls similar to the walls of China. Inside the encircled walls are exquisite buildings and a metal steam dome. Outskirts of the city are buildings built down the walls. Carriages with bicycle tires that move by the steam engine instead of horses go about to the city.

Screams of scorpion mutants could be heard coming out of the towered dungeon in large numbers. Adventurers and soldiers in steam robot tanks with a height of 11 meters begin to run down from the city walls to help citizens.

Hurriedly, the two girls begin to search for their parents. They found their parents asleep, or perhaps unconscious in their bed. The roof and bricks of their home had collapsed on them, but luckily they were still alive. Historia and Elizabeth begin to remove the bricks to rescue their parents. Suddenly there was a large creature groaning behind.

Historia turns around and she sees the snake beast hissing. It had four claws and dark green skin. Its body was covered in tumor-like bumps that spewed a vicious black gas. Sharp teeth jutted out from its mouth. Its eyes were bloodshot as it stared at the girl in front of it. Historia eyes widened in fear as she slowly backs away. Suddenly, the beast lumps at her, she quickly rolls to the side and narrowly dodged the attack. She hurriedly stands up and glances at it.

The red dragon had crashed somewhere fighting it. The human dragon looks at the beast standing tall before Historia’s family, its nose sniffing looking for flesh. The dragon boy a distance close to Historia staggers to his feet and the beast lumps its body opening its mouth lumps its teeth through the air.

“He is weak, if we are going to get out of this alive, he is the only one that can fight that thing"Historia thought to herself as she swiftly jumps pushing the boy away from the incoming beast.

However the beast changes his direction opening his mouth. Before this giant beast mouth Historia was insignificantly small. It lungs and instantly she felt a push from her back. Historia staggered crashing to the ground. She quickly turns her face. Her eyes widen and she shouted.

''Mother!”

The beast opens wide his mouth, lunging at Historia's mother. It grabs her mother and devours her into pieces. The dragon chews with blood splitting in the air. Her mother's arm falls to the ground in front of her.

"Ahaaaaaaaah!!!" she screams. Blood splatters with cold liquid jolting from her body. She looks at her arm. Historia didn't notice that her arms were bitten in the process. She saw her arms on the floor. She suddenly screams from the jolt of pain.

"Why, why would a human save me?." The dragon boy lay on the floor weak as he stares at the situation unfolding before him. The beast once again looks down and ready to have another bite. The beast uses its claws grabbing Elizabeth. Elizabeth screams in horror as she struggles to release herself from the beast grip.

The dragon boy shouts into the Sky. "AROOOOOGONUuuT!!!" Instantly, a red dragon flies from the sky and swiftly descends.

"I haven't tried this before but I have practiced a few times"Arogonuts neck begins to glow in blue color essence while descending atop the beast. He erupts a colossal ice flame from his mouth. The beast opens his mouth but suddenly it feels cold ice shard which begins to freeze him into a large block of ice. Arogonut swiftly flies through using his clawed hands to snatch Elizabeth away. And instantly the ground shook violently with a loud sound.

Thud!

All of Humanity turns their faces, and their eyes wide open in despair.

Thud!!

A black gigantic 100 feet humanoid foot thud as it shook the earth from a burning portal, a towering dark image emerges from a dark corrosive smoke with red six eyes gleam from the smoke.

Black Death is a 700 feet tall monster. The city skyscraper is but a small object compared to it. Its body is made of black and bright yellow-red flames. Its flames flowed down its body like lava water, it has dark legs and humanoid arms, horns jutting out like a Santa clause reindeer with teeth of a decayed human skull. Dark corrosive steam smoke jotting out of his mouth. It glared at the city in front of it. Black Death could be seen in a distance, it hovered several dozen meters above ground, watered it with lava plasma flooding the ground. Everything beneath its feet as it moves slowly, was scorched to death, destroyed, not even the rubble or roads remained, just black pits of scorched earth.

ROOOOOAAAOAAAAAAR!

Loud roaring sounds rang out as it got closer, soon it hovered in front of the city which was tiny before it. A large group of magician espiers and robotic mecha could be seen standing in front of it, they were preparing to sacrifice their lives to buy time for the citizens to escape. Some of them were from the knight, some were bandits and hunter, others were regular citizens.

The dark beast was the creature that chased them from the dungeon. In his head was a bright crystal stone. People watched from the city as the monster approached. Light begins to glow brighter from the Crystals in its head.

Boom!

A red bright light covers the sky from the city and the dragon boy looks up as he remembers his past.
