CHAPTER 124: MEMORY LANE III

Meredith's POV

“What's the whole point of this? I remember everything that happened! I don't need to relive it!” I yell, hoping that the mystical spirit would hear me.

But I am left with no response.

Good God, my head was starting to hurt.

He looks at me with so much sadness that I almost want to ask him not to. But I couldn't even muster up the strength to speak.

He says something inaudible beneath his ear before taking out a key from his pocket. He unlocks my cage, and my body falls on him instantly.

“Alright, little one. I think you have been through more than enough,” he says before scooping me in his arms and taking me out of the hell hole I pray to never enter again.

“Thank you,” I managed to whisper. I don't even know if he heard me because he didn't say a thing after that. He walks into another room and places me gently on the bed.

I hear him shuffle around before returning to my side of the bed. He helps me sit up and brings something to my lips.
