CHAPTER 131: A CRY FOR JUSTICE

Meredith’s POV

Their hostile gazes caused me to shrink behind Roman. But I made sure to do so in a subtle manner and not like that of a coward. Regardless of the fact that I was scared sh*tless.

“I didn’t do this! I didn’t kill her, I swear!” I say, but my words fall on deaf ears. My eyes widen with horror when they begin to take out pitchforks and other forms of horrendous weapons.

“Liar! You wanted to end her life just yesterday!”

“Not to mention that you displayed such ominous power; you must definitely be a witch!”

“Ever since you came here, you have only made things worse!”

“Just get out of here!”

“Or better yet, just kill her! We are better off with her dead!”

“You are not the daughter of Alpha William Amman!”

They all gained in on me, and I took a step back. But by the time I blink, the triad is standing protectively before me. All three of them. The crowd froze, and their eyes widened in fear as the three of them growled in unison.
