CHAPTER 127: A JEALOUS MATE

Meredith’s POV

A gasp leaves my lips as I shoot up to a sitting position. Desperately, I fill my lungs with air as I take in my surroundings. Where am I now? Is this another memory?

My shoulders slouch and a breath of relief leaves my lips when I see Caelen sleeping next to me. His soft snores filled the room, and I try to remember if there was any point in our lives we were ever in this position.

There wasn’t.

This is real.

I am in the present.

Thank goodness.

What the hell was that? Was it a vision? Or is it a dream? I know it happened while I was asleep, but it most certainly did not feel like a dream. It felt like I was reliving everything that had happened to me since I met the triad.

But why? And who the hell had that voice that spoke to me? It most definitely had to be a spirit. I was certain that I had never heard a voice like that before in my life. And what was it he... or was it a she said? I don’t even know what gender that manner of voice belonged to.
