CHAPTER 122: MEMORY LANE

Meredith's POV

I feel… strange.

Like I wasn't in my own body. The last place I remember falling asleep was in my room and in Caelen's arms. How did I get to this pool?

My ears pick up on some of the women’s conversations, and I have never felt such an urge to shut someone up.

Permanently.

What? Where did that come from?

It felt as though those were my thoughts but… why would I think of that?

“I do not know what the kings see in her; she isn’t even that hot.”

“Not to mention she is a dirty human. They are going to end up killing her; you just watch; she isn’t going to survive a week here.”

A sigh leaves my lips as I open my eyes. The first thing I see is Gwen leaving the water. Why the hell is she so close to me?

My eyes widened in realization. This is a memory of mine.

Her minions walk up to her with a towel, and I count down the seconds with my fingers, hoping she would leave as soon as possible because her presence alone angers me.
