After Axel gave his speech, it was time for the official conference.

I felt my skin prickle with awareness, knowing fully well that his eyes were on me.

Sure enough, my ever-so-beautiful sister was hanging on his arm. A testament to the harsh reality I was living in, while I was still with him. A testament as to how less they thought of me, even in death.

The Alphas were to have an in-house conference, as per tradition, while their Lunas, were to move to the Lunas chambers specifically designed for this purpose.

"You okay?" I heard Axel ask beside me, his voice nearly in a whisper.

We were still standing at the stage, as the Alphas began to get ready, while the Lunas made their way to the chambers.

I let in a deep breath, before letting it out, as I nodded at Axel, "I am fine, Axel. You do not need to worry about me."
