"What the fuck have you done?" I bellowed, wanting to believe he was bluffing, but the look on his face told otherwise.

He smiled. The mother fucker actually smiled, like I was some kind of a joke. No one else in my pack riles me up, as much as he does.

No one.

My chest was fuming, and as much as I would hate to admit, I suddenly feared for Ophelia's condition.

"You will tell me what it is you are talking about, Maddox," I seethed, with gritted teeth, my emotions going haywire.

Zane was growling and howling in my head, urging me to give him control, so he could deal with him once and for all. But I couldn't risk it.

He had always wanted to kill Maddox...for a long time now. But I always stopped him. Goddess knew I wanted it as badly as possible, but I needed to be rational.

I could very well get away with it, but I do not soil my hands with blood unnecessarily, unless for a good cause...a strong cause.

Moreover, I was barely hanging on the single thread of family here.
