Chapter 1

“Ouchhh!” Daven muttered after he was hit by a tiny stone from somebody that was hiding behind the big rocks as he hanged out at the sea side with its strong impulse of water where he was standing.

“Anybody there?!” he asked from the place where the stone came from and he wonder who would dare to hide behind those rocks where the impulse of water getting more stronger.

Laughs! Of those beautiful mermaids hiding behind a large rocks that made him convinced that there are really somebody behind on it. When the burly young man tried to step closer to check, they immediately dived until they were drifting away into the depths of the sea. 

They have those colorful tails that enliven every plants and creatures underneath the ocean as they pass through and dive anywhere in the vast ocean.

Samantha got the most stunning tail  that possesses the brightest and most colorful tail in the entire kingdom of Arcticus. She is also the smartest, the most powerful and strongest from all of the living creature at the kingdom of Arcticus. But about her power and strength was remained secret throughout the kingdom for the sake of her safety and welfare except for Wamus, Alenna and Lilo, who were close friends of her late mother.

Samantha grew up without her parents so she grew resilient from all the challenges in her life and brave but known as the most rebellious mermaid in their kingdom.

She is always the reason why some mermaids were punished for leading them to the place they are forbidden to go because of the danger. But every punishment she receives she just goes through it jokingly as if nothing has happened. Samantha were a cheerful mermaid and because of her stubbornness, Alenna once imprisoned her for using her power which is harmful for herself.

She has the only power that can destroy two worlds. That is the human world and their whole kingdom of Arcticus. She is also able to animate and command anything and anyone under the ocean just by using her mind only. This could not be known by anyone within their kingdom because of the danger that the queen sister of her long-deceased mother might pose to her.

Alenna, Wamus and Lilo needs to keep Samantha from discovering her other abilities especially her true origins. Because it would be a great threat to all of them and may leads the entire kingdom to be enveloped in darkness.

"But Hatiya Alenna, I'm no longer a child, and there's nothing wrong if I would do whatever I want,” Samantha said to Alenna as she angrily looked at Lilo who was her one of guardian and the one's to report of her reprimand behavior.

“Yes Samantha, of course you are! And you can even have your own spouse but we promised your late mother before she passed away that we will protect you as much as we can.

"Your mother was doomed because of those human and of her inherent power which is why she must be the one needs to faced the danger of this kingdom when it was about to collapse. Keep your power undetected by anyone here inside the entire kingdom of Arcticus because that will leads you to your own death.

"Now, tell me Samantha! Who is heavier for you there your heart? Is it the entire kingdom of Arcticus or is it your stubbornness? How could you dare to see all of us here will be killed one day? The destruction of the entire ocean and even the cause your own death! Samantha?” sermons of Alenna that penetrated her heart.

“Forgive me Hatiya Alenna, I will not repeat my blasphemous actions. I promised,” she told Alenna.

Samantha was filled with wondering about herself, why she seemed different from everyone and she didn’t have such a life she love to have. She seemed to have no freedom to do whatever she wanted.

From there, Samantha was just keeping her self busy creating decorations at the Kingdom of Arcticus along with other mermaids in preparation for the upcoming contest. To speed up what she was doing she once again thought of using her power and magic  but when she tried to use it she suddenly remembered what Alenna was telling her, so she choose to do things fairly like her fellow mermaids does.

“Did you see that? My Dear Queen? The magic wand lights up again. But i wonder where can a creature be found, the one destined to use that magic?” said Anias who was one of Victoria's allies.

"We must soon discover who is that mermaid mentioned in the prophecy!!! There is no one who can be known as more powerful in this kingdom but me!!! And no one else!!!” he said furiously and everyone there felt scared.

"But my Dear Queen, isn't Agatha's daughter the one in the fulfillment of the prophecy?” Anias asked her as the queen raged.

“No!!! And if in case it was that bastard, I will not hesitate to kill her!!! But I am sure that Agatha’s daughter is not the fulfillment of the prophecy, because I witnessed her birth until she grown up. There is no sign that she is destined to use this powerful magical cane. Whoever that creature find her and bring it to me as soon as possible, so that, I!!! Myself!!! Will end her life whoever she is!!!” she said cruelly.

The magic wand only glows when the intended user demonstrates its power or uses magic. The only one who has the right to hold that cane is none other than the one destined to inherit it. That is why it is in Victoria’s care to prevent the heir of magical power from defeating her greed and evilness.

There was a rumor quickly spread all throughout the kingdom about a mermaid that would fulfill the prophecy, and it was spread that the mermaid in prophecy would be cause the death of everyone and the destruction of the entire Kingdom of Arcticus. So it had to be found immediately and brought before Queen Victoria to end the evil threat for the whole kingdom.

That matter reached Alenna and Wamus. They're getting more worried about Samantha’s safety and fear that she will be murdered by her own ‘Ibawi’ the sister of her late mother.

“But Alenna, we cannot stop what is written in the prophecy, because it is destined to be happen,” Wamus told her full of worries.

“Is that soo, Wamus? Are we really going to let Samantha get hurt and just watching her in death, just like what happened on her mother? I loved Samantha like my very own daughter because I was the one raised her. I considered her truly comes from inside of me since Agatha passed away. I will not let anything bad happen to my ‘Hati’,” she told Wamus in tears.

“This time, we have no other choice but to confess unto Samantha everything what she deserves to know including her origin. That is, so that she can be fully prepare herself for the future and to keep herself tough whatever it takes. How could she even defend herself from the great danger she is facing right now if we will continue to keep the whole truth from her?” said Wamus to Alenna who are both worried about the future to be happen.

“But wait, where is Samantha by the way?” asked Alenna and they both stared at Lilo with full of worries.

Lilo is Samantha's guardian, a very small fish who used to be with Samantha's mother before and until now is the guardian of Agatha's only child.

“Samantha and I had been together lately, but she misled me so I could no longer follow her. I decided to come back here because I am sure that she come out again from Arcticus and I can't go out with her from there,” Lilo explained to them with its very tiny voice trembling.

After all, Alenna, Wamus and Lilo always got headaches because of Samantha's stubbornness. There was no room for their worries for Samantha during those times. They are both worried that Samantha might make another mistake and end up doomed because of her stubbornness.
