“Noah,” Ophelia called, racing down the hallway.

“Noah!” she called again. But Noah never stopped he kept going to God-knows where and he was fast. She stopped for a minute and took a breath before she ran after crazy long legs, and grabbed him just in time.

“Hey! I’ve been calling you!” she said through ragged breaths.

Noah didn’t spare her a glance. “Let go of me, Ophelia,” he said bluntly, his voice was dark. Darker than she had ever heard him before.

“I won’t,” Ophelia said. “Not until you tell me what the hell was that.”

She felt his muscles relax under her grip and he finally looked over his shoulder at her. He was in agony. His eyes were shades darker than they should be. A dark cloud hovered over his face, making his features as sharp as razors. Just what is going on with him?

“There is nothing to say, Ophelia,” Noah asked, pulling his arm gently from her grasp. “You should go now.”

He took a few steps forward before Ophelia intercepted his path again.
