“You need to stop before you start something you can’t handle,” Noah murmured. A shaky breath escaped as he caught Ophelia’s eyes, he could see the confusion in her eyes as she tried to find an answer. He had no idea what face he had on right now.

Ophelia, on the other hand, could see him. She felt his hot breath on her skin as she felt him defying the urge within him. The places where their skin met were on fire, yet she couldn’t withdraw her hands. Almost like a magnet drew them together, she felt the butterflies in her stomach.

Since when did Noah have this effect on her?

They used to duel each other, they were more than just close. Their bodies tangled with each other fiercely every other day, and she had never once felt this tingling feeling in her stomach. It was only pure adrenaline pumping in her veins with excitement. Now all she could hear was her heartbeat in her ears, the blood rushing to her head, and her weak knees.
