NORA POV

“ Wake up, Nora!"

I kept hearing the familiar voice as the darkness kept enveloping me. I struggled to open my eyes and after a few seconds, I slowly forced my eyes open. I looked around and saw Karen staring at me worriedly.

“ Karen…” I muttered, trying to sit up.

" Finally!” He heaved out, wearing a relief expression. I glanced around and found out I was not at the same place again. I couldn't find Aria or her minions.

As if he read my thoughts, Karen spoke up." Luckily, I was still around when I felt the signal that you were in danger. I rushed here just in time.”

" What happened-to them?” I asked, still glancing around.

" I have taken care of them. When I got here, I saw you lying unconscious and a few other werewolves. I took care of them and brought you here so I could revive your energy. Obviously, you were pierced with wolfsbane.”

" Wolfsbane?” I asked, surprised.

" Yeah. That girl really wants you dead.” Karen said, sighing.

I bit down my lips." You said you took car

NORA POV I left the training ground, making my way back to the house. I wanted to go home and have a good rest before the ball tomorrow. It was also time for my next mission. I only wanted to come to the pack to make my parents and brother leave so I could wage war against it. I also wanted to see if these people had changed their ways. Apparently, they were still like before. Bullying the weak and worshiping the strongest. Aria was the perfect example. The pack members were only obeying her because she was apparently going to be the Luna. That's why they don't mind bullying me, the weak human. And Alpha Carlos? He was no different. Even if he was, I still can't forgive him for wanting to kill me. If I wasn't a Lycan, I would have died on that fateful night. Few minutes later, I got to my house and was welcomed with a big smile from my mother. Her eyes sparkling with excitement. There seems to be something fishy. This woman was definitely up to something. "Nora, dear, I have a s

NORA POVWhat was Alpha Carlos doing here out of all places? My eyes quickly scanned his side to check if he came with my brother. Fortunately, he wasn't with my brother. Alpha Carlos’ smug face stared back at me, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "Nora?"With a quick smile, I bowed slightly to him. “ Oh, Alpha Carlos. I'm so sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going."“ What are you doing here?" He ignored my apologies, his eyes looking at me with a raised brow.“ It's a club, Alpha Carlos," I stated, staring back at him with same expression.“ A club? Just like other clubs closer to the pack. Why here?” His question made me frown. What the hell does he mean by that?I scoffed at his words. What an arrogant person.“ I don't think it's any of your business where I chose to club, Alpha Carlos." With a scowl on his face which clearly stated his opinion, he held my hand tightly. He dragged me to the opposite direction to where I was going and I tried to pull my hands away. “ Let go o

The surprise would be here sooner than later and I can't wait to see their faces! That morning, instead of training, I decided to have a run around the forest. It's been a while I ran and I don't want to fall below Elder Silvarum expectations once I get back.I set my timing to see my limit after the potion I took. Carlos POVI could feel Nora was changing. No, she looked like a changed person, yet I still can't point out exactly how she changed. I began to notice right from the day she pushed me at the border.I could sense her powerful aura yet it vanished just as it came. Maybe I was mistaken. Same thing happened at the training ground, it turned out to be the lycan's doing. But then why are strange things happening around Nora since she came back? Is there a secret somewhere? My eyes traveled to the pendant carefully placed by my bedside. I still remember the day Nora gifted it to me and how excited she was. Why was she demanding for the pendant after giving it to me?Besides, why was she asking for the piece of pendant and not the whole pendant? I got up from the bed, walking swiftly to my cabinet where I kept the shard of the pendant I saw six months ago.I remembered vividly what that man told me about the inscriptions on the pendant. It was the exact same words Nora said when she gifted

Carlos POVSo this was her game all along? As I watched Nora and Karen together, a growing sense of unease crept over me. I couldn't believe the transformation in Nora was not planned. It was more like a premeditated move from the beginning. If not, how could a weak, pathetic human with no wolf or power be involved with the most revered Lycan Kingdom? How could I not have seen through her devious act right from the moment she gave me that pendant? How could a weak pathetic human I rejected as my mate turn into ...this cunning woman? But as I gazed into her eyes, I saw something that made my blood run cold. A glint of deceit mixed with a hint of betrayal. I felt a sudden jolt of realization as it dawned on me that Nora was not what she seemed. “ Traitor!" NORA POVI needed fresh air, away from that scum. I still can't believe he was still so dumb to the point that he thinks I was hung up on the fact that he rejected me.It was so laughable yet annoying to see his arrogance displayed with such immense energy. Was he trying to dodge his guilt last night or was he trying to act smart? I bit my lip, holding back the tears and anger that threatened to overflow as I walked away from the hall with Karen. “ It's strange how that arrogant Carlos was even the least worried about his past deeds," Karen pointed out, opening the car door." He still thinks I am doing all of these because he rejected me! How stupid!” I scoffed, resting my head as soon as I entered the car.I was damn tired. That arrogant, self-righteous Carlos! NORA'S POV I paced nervously around my living room, waiting for Griffin to arrive. My heart raced. No matter hoe hard I tried to focus on something else, my mind kept going back to the thoughts I was running away from. The doorbell rang, bringing me back to reality. I sighed as I headed towards the door and opened it. Griffin was standing out there, noth hands in his pocket. "May I come in?" he asked, his voice low.I stepped aside. "Sure." "We can talk in the kitchen."Griffin followed behind as I led him into the kitchen. He grabbed a stool and sat on it. "Where's Carlos?" He asked as he looked around the kitchen. "Out," I replied simply. "Do you think this place is quiet enough?" "You think someone could be listening?" I asked, suddenly chilled."I think we can't be too careful." Griffin leaned forward. "Have you found anything else since we last spoke?""Just more

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    Strange Incidence

NORA'S POV I was still trying to process everything Griffin had told me. My entire world had shifted in a matter of hours. I picked up my phone to research about lycans. I sat on my desk as I began to scroll through my phone. Different types of lycans and what they were capable of. "A bloodline of powerful lycans," I muttered. The words on the screen blurred together as I searched through obscure mythology sites and forums dedicated to supernatural lore. Most of it seemed like fantasy, but after what Griffin had revealed, I couldn't dismiss any of it outright.I pushed away from my desk and walked to the storage closet where I'd stashed my mother's belongings after she died. I hadn't been able to part with them, but couldn't bear looking at them every day either. Now they might hold answers I desperately needed.I pulled out several cardboard boxes and began methodically going through them. Old clothes, books, kitchen items— nothing unusual. Then I reached the last box, tucked i

NORA POVI felt Carlos watching me as I moved around our kitchen. His eyes followed every gesture, studying me like I was suddenly a stranger. The silence between us had grown heavy, and uncomfortable.Maybe I was a stranger to him right now. Maybe that was how he saw me, but what could I say? "You called out to Karen again last night," he finally said.I froze, my hands gripping the edge of the counter. I knew we would come back to this conversation, but I was not even ready for it yet. “Did I?""Don't do that, Nora." His voice was lowered, but cold. "Don't pretend you don't know what I'm talking about."I turned to face him, trying to keep my expression neutral. "It's just dreams, Carlos. I've told you that.""Dreams you refuse to share with me. Dreams that make you cry out someone else's name." He pushed away from the table. "Look me in the eyes and tell me there's nothing more to it."I met his ga

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    The Spy

It's been days, searching for the spy who was working with the sorcerer. It seemed like my search was over since the spy was staring at me in the face right now. "She still doesn't suspect anything," the spy said, voice clear in the still night air.I hid still as I listened to the conversation between the snitch and the sorcerer. "Good," the sorcerer replied. "And Carlos?""Completely distracted by her dreams. He thinks she's hiding something romantic. Men are so predictable." Her laugh was bitter. "When do I get what you promised?""When we have the girl. The dealer isn't interested in half-measures. You said it was romantic?"The spy nodded," Yes, Sorceress. She always mentioned a name in her dreams. I think Karen-”I felt a jolt listening to the spy mentioning my name. Does this mean Nora still remembers me? An overwhelming emotion swirled all over me, yet it disappeared as quickly as it came. Who was I kidding? No

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    Secret Meeting

After years of watching the sorcerer from afar, learning her patterns, her associates, styles, and almost everything about her. That night something was different. The energy around the pack felt a little disturbed. Some unknown figures approached the sorcerer on that very night. Not the usual messengers or apprentices. These moved with unnatural grace. Power radiated from them in waves I could feel even from my hidden position. I knew I was not allowed to spy on the sorcerer, but I had been doing much of that lately. One of them knocked on the door, and turned around to peep before he faced the door once again. They seemed to be guarding their movements, and didn't want to be seen by anyone. Others were also looking around, trying to observe the environment. I knew how to hide my scent well enough, so I was safe in my hiding spot. The door opened, and the sorcerer's face was revealed. "You're early," she said. She still l

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    Jealous

Carlos POVI lay awake, staring at the ceiling of our bedroom as Nora slept beside me. Her breathing had finally steadied, but the memory of what had happened earlier still haunted me."Karen... Karen, please..." she had murmured, her voice desperately pleading.I had been drifting off when her voice cut through the darkness. At first, I thought she was talking to me, but as my mind cleared, I realized she was still asleep. Her face was tense, brows furrowed as if in pain or concentration. That name again. Karen. It wasn't the first time I'd heard it on her lips during sleep. For weeks now, this Karen had been appearing in Nora's dreams. Each time, I said nothing, hoping it was going to stop. I stood there, watching Nora sleep, her chest rising and falling with each gentle breath. But my mind was elsewhere, replayed on the words she had whispered in her sleep severally."Karen..." The name had slipped out so softly, yet it had struck me like a thunderclap. I hadn't reacted then, didn

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    Fearless. Lethal. Beautiful

CARLOS POVI decided to see Elder Silvarum and King George concerning Nora's condition. "The dreams are becoming more vivid," I explained, watching Elder Silvarum's ancient face remain impassive. "She's seeing things, calling Karen in her sleep." I talked about Nora's dreams for a while, trying not to forget any important part of her dreams. I told them about how strange she had been acting recently. King George leaned forward, his massive frame dwarfing the ornate chair beneath him. "Could it be a coincidence?"Elder Silvarum shook his head. "There are no coincidences with matters of prophecy." His eyes were fixed on me. "Continue watching her, Carlos. Document everything. Keep an eye on her, and make sure to relate every new development with me."I nodded, though questions still burned within me. Before I could voice them, something shifted in the air around me. A cold sensation gripped my chest, squeezing until breathing became difficult. Fear—raw and instinctual—flooded my se

  • Nora: Rejected Lost Princess    Poison

Griffin POV My body went rigid. What I saw couldn't be real. Nora, vulnerable Nora grabbed the rogue wolf by the scruff with bare hands and flung him away like a rag or paper. The beast yelped, crashing into a tree trunk with a sickening crack. The remaining rogues circled her, fangs raised, claw sharp, but hesitation now clear in their movements. Nora stood, blood dripping from her torn sleeve, but she didn't seem to notice. Her lips pulled back in a snarl that looked wrong on her human face. Then she lunged at the closest wolf. Her movements weren't human. She twisted with impossible speed, ducking under snapping jaws and driving her fist into the rogue's ribs. Bones crunched. The wolf howled. I wondered what was going on. My eyes and mouth remained wise open in amazement. She grabbed another by the throat, fingers digging into fur until blood seeped between them. The wolf thrashed, claws raking her arms, but Nora didn't flinch. She squeezed until something gave way with a w

GRIFFIN POV The vision of Nora in danger appeared in my mind. Without a second thought, I stripped off my clothes and shifted into my wolf form. I bolted for the door of my hideout, claws scraping against wood. The moment I leaped onto the porch, a familiar scent stopped me cold. I immediately stopped, my heart racing in my chest. 'Dang it!' I cursed within me. The sorceress blocked my path, her dark eyes flashing with fury. She was breathing heavily, and it was not because she was tired or exhausted. It was because she was angry with me. "Where do you think you're going?" she snarled. "You're going against our agreement, Griffin." I growled, hackles rising. No time for this. I shifted back to human form, not caring about my nakedness. "Nora is in danger," I said, grabbing p
