NORA POV

I needed fresh air, away from that scum. I still can't believe he was still so dumb to the point that he thinks I was hung up on the fact that he rejected me.

It was so laughable yet annoying to see his arrogance displayed with such immense energy. Was he trying to dodge his guilt last night or was he trying to act smart?

I bit my lip, holding back the tears and anger that threatened to overflow as I walked away from the hall with Karen.

“ It's strange how that arrogant Carlos was even the least worried about his past deeds," Karen pointed out, opening the car door.

" He still thinks I am doing all of these because he rejected me! How stupid!” I scoffed, resting my head as soon as I entered the car.

I was damn tired.

That arrogant, self-righteous Carlos! How dare he accuse me of being a traitor? And to think he had the nerve to create a duplicate pendant, as if I would ever stoop to such deception.
