Goodbye Party (Natalie)

2025-03-11 13:35:09The next day Ash and I have a practice session with the weapons that we got for Riley, and then we have showers. When I finish my shower I walk out and realise that I forgot to grab my dress and underwear, which means I have to walk down the hallway with my towel wrapped around me. So that’s what I do, well what I try to do, it doesn’t work every well because as soon as I open the door I see Ash waiting for the shower. That is when I realise that the towel only just covers my butt and my chest and it doesn’t leave much for the imagination.
I try to walk out with my head up but it doesn’t stay that way for long. As soon as I put my head down I run straight into Ash, I look up startled and he looks just as startled. Then he takes in my predicament and laughs; he then puts a hand over his eyes and walks around me to the bathroom. I half walk, half run into my bedroom. I quickly put my bra and undies on then take my time doing my makeup and hair. My makeup is only soft and hardly noticeable and for my hair I put it into a waterfall braid, which drapes over my left shoulder. Then I put the dress on, which still looks and feels amazing. Then I look through the shoes Alex gave me and find the perfect pair that is blue and sparkly, she must have known I would need them for the dress because they are the perfect colour. With a final look in the mirror I leave my bedroom to find Ash standing against the wall beside the door. As soon as he sees me his mouth drops open, slowly I reach out a hand and close his mouth. After a few minutes he says “You look beautiful.” then he takes my hand in his and walks towards the front door. When we arrive at Alex’s house, it looks like the same normal house as always. As we walk up to the front door, I can smell food, delicious food. I open the door to the sound of ‘surprise’ as 10 people jump up from behind things and the lights flickers on. Alex has been busy decorating the house for our going away party. Then Alex comes running up and hugs me, she’s crying and it causes me to cry as well I look around the room seeing whose here, Nick, three of my other friends Autumn, Emma and Chelsea. Then you have Aaron who walks over to Ash and starts talking. Alex’s mum and dad walk over to me, their names are Kim and Percy. When I look at the last two people I see my old boyfriend Josh and my best guy friend Lachlan. As Alex releases me her mum comes over and hugs me and her dad shakes my hand. Both of them have brown hair that’s got specks of grey through it now because of their age. Kim is beautiful with her large brown eyes and full lipped mouth and the perfect sized nose for her face, she’s nearly the splitting image of Alex, but 24 years older. Her dad looks more like Nick only with brown hair instead of blonde. They have the same green eyes like my dad had and a medium sized nose with a full-lipped mouth. They both express their condolences about the family and ask what my plans are. To which I tell them ‘thank you, and I’m not really sure yet.’ They both frown slightly before nodding their heads and letting me join the group. Autumn and Chelsea come over. Autumn has orange hair that flows down to the middle of her back, her green eyes stick out of her head and with her petite nose and small mouth she is quite pretty and Chelsea with her blonde hair that’s cut in a short bob, her nose is quite big and so is her mouth but with her bright blue eyes she is also very pretty. They come over and hug me saying “Thank goodness you are okay, all of us including Emma thought you were dead, it was horrible.” That was Chelsea, “I cried for two days straight.” Autumn says. Just when she’s about to continue Josh and Lachlan approaches us. They hug me quickly and walk away. Josh has short brown hair, really dark brown eyes like Ash’s and really red lips, his nose is quite big but it fits his face frame perfectly. Lachlan’s blonde with deep blue eyes, he has a full-lipped mouth and a small nose. He is completely different to Josh; sometimes I even wonder why they hang out. When they reach me Lachlan gives me a quick hug, then steps back, ever since Josh dumped me our friendship has been rather uncomfortable because of Josh’s influence. When I turn to Josh I don’t know what to expect, so when he suddenly steps forward and sweeps me into an enormous hug, I nearly faint from shock but I don’t thank goodness. He says “I’m sorry about your family, I’m just so happy your okay.” He continues holding me tightly not letting go afraid he will lose me again, but that’s the problem, he already has lost me. He dumped me a year ago and started dating another chick straight after. So I don’t think highly of him lately. Suddenly without warning the link that connects me to Ash sparks and I look up to find Ash’s eyes on me, I mouth the word ‘help’, and he starts striding towards me with Aaron in tow. When he gets to Josh he taps him on the shoulder, Josh slowly releases me and turns around. “I would appreciate it if you would stop hugging my girlfriend!” He says in a stony voice. Josh’s eyes flash with annoyance “Does Natalie even know who you are, because I have never seen you in my life and I have lived here my whole life.” “Yes Natalie does know who I am, considering she has been staying at my house since the explosion.” Josh shakes his head “Do you know anything about this guy?” “Yes.” I reply. Josh nods then asks “What’s his name?” “His name is Ash Samuels, he is 18, and he lives at 15 hero road. His parents died when he was 16 and so did his baby sister, he knows how to fight hand to hand combat and shot with a bow and arrow as well as throw knives and fight with a sword and shield.’ When Josh hears the last part of the sentence, he shakes his head and slowly backs away from us. The party ends two hours later and everyone says goodbye to me. After everyone has left Alex gives me a massive hug and says “When a Ma Vista reaches the age of eighteen they stop growing, so they forever look like an eighteen year old.” Then she says her goodbyes with tears in her eyes, which of course cause me to burst into tears. Slowly Ash pulls me away from her and walks me to the car. He opens the door, places me in the car and closes the door. Then he gets in and we drive away back to Ash’s house.

Nightmare I don’t want to go! (Natalie)
By the time we got home I was a complete mess, tears were streaming down my face, my eyes were puffy and my nose was snotty. I didn’t want to get out of the car as it meant that I was one step closer to accepting we were about to risk our lives to fight these monsters. Ash eventually made his way around the side of the car and pulled me out. Lifting me up bridal style I could help the rush of butterflies in my stomach even though I was a complete mess. Step by step he gets us inside and lays me down on the sofa. While I lay on the sofa crying Ash starts to pack the car. That night I can’t sleep, every noise I hear makes me jump out of my skin. Every now and then there’s a crunching sound like shoes stepping on crunchy autumn leaves or a snapping of a twig. Sometimes there’s even a loud bang of a closing car door or someone maybe taking the garbage bins out for the garbage truck that will come in the morning. We’re about an hour into our trip when I say “When your family died and well, you know, you took all that stuff and the car. How did you pay for everything? Like the petrol and the hotels and the houses you rented?” “When I was grabbing stuff, I found my mums and dad’s wallets, my dad was rich, some people would say he was loaded, so that money helped with everything. Plus all the assets became mine when I turned 18. My grandfather was in charge of it till I became of age. Then it was handed over to me.” “Wow, I wonder if my family had anything like that organised. Not that they would have had much, especially with the house burning down.” “I guess we will probably find out when you turn 18 or maybe 21. It’s early morning when I wake up to soft patches of sunlight that has filtered through the trees and the fabric of the tent lighting up the area. Ash is still sound asleep beside me. Last night I had woken up once to find Ash asleep beside me. It had gotten rather cold, so I had snuggled up against him in hope of some body warmth but that hadn’t worked so I had to wake him up, then snuggled against him and he had wrapped his arms around me and pulled the blanket tightly around us. It had been rather nice and comfortable. The wind had picked up last night and at one point I thought the wind might blow the tent over and we would end up flying through the air but that didn’t happen. After I had fallen asleep again I had a weird dream about a monster, it was hiding in the woods about 20 meters away from our campsite in the North direction. After finding that out the dream ended and I continued to sleep peacefully until just now. The sunlight shining down on the tent was making it glow

Then I continue to search the clearing for a sign of the monster. Suddenly in the distance we hear an ear-piercing scream and we hear the loud footsteps of what can only be our first monster. It must have caught something because when it appears it has a large brown bag thrown over its shoulder and the bag keeps thrashing about. When the monster reaches the only log in the small clearing, it drops the bag into the ground. Then it sits down on the log and watches the bag with a hint of amusement. I look at Ash and whisper “What’s the plan?” “Let’s try and do this as quickly as possible, you will shot it while I distract it. I am going to run out there and jump in and confront the monster. I will try and talk to it but if that doesn’t work shot it through the heart. Okay?” “Yep, I understand, oh and Ash, be careful.” I reach out and give him a quick hug, then I step back into the trees were I will not be seen. Ash runs out towards the monster screaming “Help, Help me!” the m
Huling Na-update : 2025-03-14Nightmare Whoopsie (Natalie)
As they rush towards us I hear Ash screaming something over the thunderous foot steps “Natalie watch my back.” Then he rushes towards the monsters. He strikes the first one down with the first swing of his sword, then he blocks another one with the shield and brings down the sword in a deadly arch, which takes the next monsters head off. I decide it’s time for action, I grab my bow and put an arrow on the string, I decide to aim at one of the monsters further away from Ash in case I miss and hit him. As I release the first arrow I see the monster I aimed at go down straight away. In quick succession I release five more arrows, which take down four more monsters and injures a fifth as the arrow plunges into the beast leg. It lets out a loud roar just before I put an arrow through its heart. I take a quick look at Ash to see that he has also killed five monsters but he is slowly running out of energy. I load another arrow and release, it strikes home hitting the one Ash was fighting

When I wake up I am immediately confused with my surroundings. Where are the trees? Am I dead? What’s the yellow stuff above me, where the sky should be? When I turn my head to the left I see Ash lying beside me, that’s when it hits me, I’m back in the tent. Ash must have picked me up and carried me back after I fell into unconsciousness. As I move around I feel my body protesting against the movement, its screaming out in pain as I try and sit up. When I finally manage to sit up, I am able to search for my bow and quiver. At first I can’t see it because it is still dark outside, or maybe the sun is just starting to shot its rays of light upon this mountain range once again. As I twist my body around so I can see the other side of the tent, pain shots up my back causing me to cry out. Ash still doesn’t wake up; I guess he had a long day yesterday with all the fighting. Alex makes sure we are all comfortable before she begins “Okay, well when the two of you left, I was looking at the stuff we had read on the internet and I accidentally click on a random website called ‘monsters’ at first I was thinking, this is just going to be about random monsters from movies, but it wasn’t.” She pauses as though the next part of the story is absolutely horrifying, but with a little squeeze to her knee from Ash, she is able to keep going. “It said Ma Vista’s are not really known in the world today, but long ago they were known all over the world as ‘people with sight.’ Today they are starting to lose the battle against monsters. Once out in the fresh air, I take a deep breath and zone in on all my 5 senses, I feel the warm breeze blowing my hair back from my face, smell the freshness of nature, taste the small mint that is still left in my mouth, I hear all the birds singing in the trees, all the crickets making buzzing noises in the grass surrounding me, all the larger animals running around and snapping leaves and small branches with there feet and of course the leaves rustling over head, due to the wind. I see hundreds of tree trunks, grass covered with leaves and small branches that have fallen from the trees. It is also very gloomy because it is still quite early in the morning and the sunlight rains down in patches landing in certain spots. As I daydream Ash walks up behind me and puts one of his hands on my shoulder. Snapping me back to reality. “Let’s get moving, do we have everything we need?” I run off a checklist “Sword, Shield, Bow, Quiver, Knives, water and food, including fruit and Vegetables

Nightmare Meeting Lyrica (Natalie)
While Cooper places all of his luggage and possessions into his car that is parked about 5 kilometres away from the campsite. I grab my new bow and have a bit of a practice. My ankle is still a little sore and my rib is taking it’s time to heal, but all I want to do is get away from this place and far away from Aidan, whoever that guy was. With the bow in my hand I feel complete as I walk into the undergrowth of the trees, that once was my greatest enemy, now my greatest ally. I set up several targets, carving crosses into the bark of the trees, some in front, some behind and some to the sides, so I can practice speed and change of direction. I start with the ones in front making sure that I have my usual rhythm then I speed up until I am shooting 1 arrow a second. Every arrow I release thunks as it hits its target. Then I start to move around changing directions really fast and still every arrow hits it’s target. While I do this I let go of all of my frustrations, confusion, anger

We sit in silence for a few minutes while Cooper processes what I have shared with him. I’m secretly hoping that he has finished asking questions but I’m wrong. “What do the monsters do?” “That’s a hard one, monsters are the cause of human deaths and abductions.” Cooper sucks in a sharp breath, then releases “How can I help you?” “Well first off, we need to find Ash, he will be the only other person in these mountains and if that’s not true, we are in trouble.” Cooper nods several times then without further conversation stands up and walks outside. Nightmare The truth (Natalie)
This time my sleep is plagued by nightmares and dreams alike. But I only remember one dream, that still plagues my mind when I wake up. I cry out from shock as I am pulled out of the nightmare. My whole body is trembling and I am covered in sweat, which has drenched my clothing making them stick to my body. The image still haunts me, Ash calling out my name, his hand reaching down to grab my hand as I fall. Then suddenly the dream freezes and words appear in the sky in blood red writing. ‘There coming’ then it flickers ‘were coming, be ready.’ Then suddenly I am falling again, than just before I hit the ground it blacks out. That’s when I woke up. I lie there as still as possible, too scared to move. What if the dream was real? What if it was a warning? This dream makes me more motivated to speed up my recovery and find Ash, my adrenaline speeds up and I begin to feel restless. I have to find Ash but I will need Cooper’s help, which means I will have to tell him all the things he do
Nightmare Food (Natalie)
Finding the bow and quiver had excited me and I wanted to get out here and find Ash and hope that he has also found his weapons so we can continue this war. I know I still have to relax my ankle and my back as well as my rib. So I will hopefully still be able to stay with Cooper for a day or two, the problem with that will be him asking questions, I can’t continue to lie to him, I have never been good with lies. I also fear growing to attach to him, which will cause a lot of problems as well. Sometimes I wish Cooper could see the monsters but I know he can’t. If he could that would mean he is the bad Ma Vista and he would have killed me while I was unconscious. So far this power I have is horrible and I could endanger a lot of people, especially the ones close to my heart, and I don’t want anything to happen to them. Nightmare Bright Golden Light (Cooper)
I cry out as I open my eyes, and I find myself in my own tent, sweat covering my body. That was the scariest nightmare I have ever had. I sit up and look over and find Natalie still sound asleep. I have to get out of here and go hunting before I freak myself out even more. I grab my gear for hunting and head out towards my dad’s hunting trail that he made before he died. Walking along I set up several traps so I have a high chance of catching something for Natalie and myself to eat. So I stumble through the woods which are still filled with darkness from the night before which causes me to remember my dream. I couldn’t stab Natalie not unless something had over powered me. Plus Natalie was wearing the same cloths in the dream, to what she is wearing now. She is just so beautiful I couldn’t imagine hurting her; I even hate seeing her in pain. “Natalie?” I say, trying to talk to her. “Yes, I was just thinking.” She says randomly, I chuckle at how stupid she just sounded. She roles over and winces from what I believe is pain. “We need to do something about your injuries are you comfortable enough with me to let me do it.” I ask she looks me in the eye and nods. As I check over her body I notice that she has a sprained ankle or twisted ankle and might also have a broken rib. She also has several bruises adorning her body, especially over her back. She ask me what time it was that I found her, but I have no idea what time that was because I didn’t have a watch so I just make it up. Nightmare Saviour (Cooper)
I was on my yearly hunt, but normally I would be with my family, except they died a few weeks ago. I don’t know what or how it happened I had just come home and they were all lying on the floor with pools of blood surrounding them. At first I had thought someone had murdered them but now I am not so sure. As I walk along a path my dad had made when we first started hunting, I find a rabbit trail that looks really fresh. I follow it through the woods until I see something that makes my insides freeze. There only three meters away from me lying on her back is a girl, her arms and legs going in many different angles. Slowly I walk towards the body, unsure whether she is alive or dead. As I get closer I am relieved to see a small rise and fall of the girls chest. What the hell is she doing here alone? As it gets later and I still am unable to stand, Cooper asks me if I would prefer to stay with him or if I wanted to leave. “Staying with you is probably safer then going out there into the wild when I can hardly walk.” He nods his head in agreement. I glance up for the first time and actually look at him. He has bright orange hair, greyish-blue eyes and a small amount of freckles that dash across his cheeks, his hair is cut short like Ash’s but his fringe is shorter. He is lean and muscular, I should have figured that out when he said he carried me for three hours. He looks very athletic and is pretty attractive, he also has a nice personality and is very caring, and I immediately take a liking to him. Before we go to sleep Cooper moves the sleeping bag so I have my own room, he then puts all his luggage in the middle and makes himself a bed on the other side. I wake up to find that I am in someone’s arms, at first I think that Ash has found me, but I can tell by his deodorant that, that’s not the case. My body aches all over; it feels like I have broken every bone in my body. But at least I feel secure in who ever these arms belong too. So I drift back to sleep trying to get rid of the throbbing headache that now plagues me. When I wake up again, I am still in the stranger’s arms and he is still walking steadily, I feel slightly better this time. With only a small headache but my whole body is still on fire. And it flares up every time this guy takes a step. After what feels like an hour we arrive at a small clearing, in the clearing is a small tent, not much different from Ash’s and mine.
