Wound and pain

Inside a mansion, a family was gathered at a table having a meal together. Jason walked in from the front door and ran directly to his room. His mum and dad called him back, but he didn't answer and ran straight upstairs. He locked the door behind him and ran to the mirror to look at the wound on his left shoulder. He opened a medicine cabinet in the bathroom, took out bandages, disinfectants, wool, and towels, and cleaned the wound. He then pointed the finger at the wound, but it didn't heal.

He then took a quick shower before calling Max to confirm he arrived home safe and sound.

"I was scared. What happened? They talked about you going into the forbidden area when I saw them return. Are you okay?" Max was worried as he tried to inquire about everything

"I am okay. I will tell you everything tomorrow. Did you get our stuff back?" Jason was worried about his homework

"Yes. Luckily they dropped it nearby."

"Okay. I will pick it up very early in the morning before going to school."

"Okay. Good night. "Jason hanged up the phone and went downstairs. Everyone was looking at him weirdly.

"For how long are you going to let those kids bully you?" his dad, Jayer Mackenzie, asked, annoyed.

"I will take care of it, dad."

"That's what you have been saying. It's not like you cannot handle them." He said, looking at his son, angry

"I don't want to go to jail. You know they have a backup. I may land in a problem." Jason tried to give a reason, but his dad just looked at him and sigh

"I know you are doing it to protect your friend." Miriam Mackenzie, his mom, said, looking at him affectionately

The family had a quiet dinner afterward and went to sleep

At night, Jason did not sleep well at all. He had dozens of nightmares after a nightmare. He saw himself in different places facing monsters and animals all fighting him. Each dream was so real. He would wake up in a sweat. He didn't sleep well till the morning.

Early the following day, Jason got up feeling tired. He walked to the window in his underwear to open the curtains for light. He felt so weak and agitated. He called his friends and informed them he was not feeling well. He skipped school. His father came to check on him and went back to Miriam. They didn't know exactly what was happening, but he had a high fever.

Miriam came to check on him and tried to heal him. It worked, his fever went down, but he still felt weak and had lots of hallucinations. A day off took a week. Max was worried and visited him a couple of times. Jason didn't hide anything from him and told him what had happened. He needed to talk to someone. Definitely not his parent. Al least not yet.

Early the next week, on Monday, he woke up feeling better. He felt a lot stronger than before. He walked to the window as usual and opened it. The light assaulted his eyes, and for a moment, they turned golden before he shut them. He let his eyes adjust to the light before opening slowly to look outside. He could see people walking on the pavement going to work, others at school. What surprised and confused him the most was that he could hear conversations between them from where he was.

"What's happening?" he wondered as the different voices assaulted him. He held his ears, trying to keep the voices down as he dropped to the ground, but they were stronger. He caught something interesting in one of the conversations. He stood on his feet, trying to locate the conversation. It was new, but the instinct was natural. He could hear the parents talking in their bedroom.

"They are coming back to town."

"Why now?"

"I don't know, but things will be chaotic here again. I don't know what will happen, but we must listen to their orders."

"I hate that woman. She is always too bossy," Mrs. Mackenzie scoffed, just thinking of that smiling venom of a woman.

"You have to keep your opinion to yourself. They are still the bosses here." Mr. Mackenzie laughed, rubbing his wife's hair.

You have seen the recent events in town. The Animal attacks in different areas in town, leading to a pile of dead bodies in the city morgue. I think it has something to do with it. I am afraid we will have to go back to hunting with them again," Jayer answered his wife, feeling troubled.

"We will have to fill in Jason about the ancient hunter family and their role in our lives," Miriam suggested.

"Okay. Speaking of him, he was shouting the whole night. Do you think those bullies have gotten to his mind.?" Mr. Jayer asked.

"No. He is healthy. Though yesterday I smelled blood. I don't know why but he seemed hurt. Since he didn't want to tell, I didn't ask further. He is grown up now. He has his privacy," Miriam answered, going to the bathroom. She took her clothes off and threw them on the floor going in.

"You are always so hot even after all these years" Mr. Jayer looked at his wife and commented, "I will join you." Jason, who was listening to the conversation, shouted in disgust

"Ooh, gross" he went to the bathroom to take a shower and rushed out without waiting for his parents to have breakfast. He ran to Max's home and went together with him to school. On the way, he showed him the wound on his shoulders.

"It bit me right his, but man, something else is happening."

"Whoa, man. That's incredible. You fought a wolf. Wait a minute. That means you could fight them" Max talked about how they could fight the bullies and take control of their lives. Jason's mind was captured by a beautiful woman in a black SUV who drove past them in opposite directions. He turned to look at them.
