Bullies

"Who do we have here?" Mike said to his group as he walked over. Jason jumped out and tried to take his clothes. But it was too late. The others were running to him. He looked over at the woods, and a thought came to him. Maybe that was a perfect opportunity to teach them a lesson. There was no one around.

He ran to the woods to save his 'ass.'

"Hey, Mackenzie. We just want to have fun. Why so serious." One of the boys called behind him as they ran after him

"Get him. It would be fun to tie him to a post near the school naked or take pictures of them," Mike said, running after him as well.

"What about the other idiot?" another asked.

"Let him. He is already naked. Take his clothes with you and leave them in the woods." Mike said, thinking for a sec.

"You are evil," Jersey said, laughing aloud.

"Yeah. That's why you follow me." Mike replied as a matter of fact. Some team members are close to him because they are afraid he will bully them instead. They prefer to be his underdog over another helpless.

Jason ran through the woods, not looking where he was going.

It was getting darker. He had done several pieces of training in the part of the forest, but he never went into the forbidden area on his own.

He could hear the voices of the boys behind him. He ran even faster. There were birds and other animals in the woods, but he didn't hear any other voice, just the boys. He wanted to find an opportunity to carry out his plan. It was no problem for him to handle five of them. What made him refrain before was their backup. He didn't want to have a record. He only had a few months before he joined college.

Mike was a son of a police chief. It was risky.

As he ran further, it became quiet and quiet. He could vaguely see that he was in the middle of the woods but had no sense of direction. He didn't know exactly where he was.

"Shit!" he was too focused on Mike and his friends and didn't notice he had crossed the danger zone.

Mike and the team stopped somewhere far from where he was. He saw fear written all over their faces. It seemed they saw something.

"Let's get out of here," Mike said to the group before turning around and running back.

"Cowards" breathless, Jason cursed them and tried to return to where he came from. He knew it was more dangerous to go deeper.

He walked cautiously back to where he came from but could not hear even a single bird. That was an ominous sign. It means danger. Being a trained hunter or a hunter in training, he could figure out when there was danger. He had no weapon with him, but he could always improvise.

"Just what have I gotten myself into? I should have just handled the four of them rather than being a meal to a wild animal here," he cursed.

As he stepped forward, he heard a twig snapping and stopped to look at his back. He turned immediately, but he could not see anything.

He walked faster and faster, but he heard the twigs and the leaves rustle loudly. He stopped and listened to a faint snarling sound. It was like a sound of a wild animal. He didn't turn immediately but slowly turned his head to the left to look over his shoulder. He saw a big black wolf staring at him, his mouth open, long canines showing, and saliva trickling down its mouth. He turned to face it, groaning slightly when he hit a tree back.

He then turned and ran for his life. He didn't have anything on him. He cursed under his breath how unlucky the day had been for him. He cursed Mike and the team even more. He was not faster than the wolf, but he tried. He was strong and trained to survive. He could save his life.

The animal at the back seemed very agitated. It seemed crazy with his red eyes looking sharp at his target.

In his entire life, Jason never thought he would die at the hand of a werewolf. It was the opposite. He was their hunter. His bag had Monkshood. He never left some of the important stuff behind, but those damn bullies took his bag.

At that moment, when his mind was running crazy and blank, the wolf jumped at him from the back and threw him down. He rolled on the brown and dry leaves before coming to a stop. He stopped and stood one knee on the ground, one hand on the ground, and the other lifted, looking straight at the wolf. Their eyes met. At that second, he didn't feel like a hunter but the hunted. He looked like a completely different person than before. He looked determined to fight to the death with the animal.

"I will not die in the woods. You want to eat me. Come get me," Jason was charged as he shouted at the wild animal.

The animal seemed to understand and jumped right at him, its mouth wide open at that time. Jason picked a small dry wood on the ground and stood from the ground aiming at the mouth. But the animal knocked him down before taking a bite on his shoulder. Jason screamed in pain but did not hesitate to pierce the sharp piece of wood in his eyes.

It whimpered in pain as it ran away.

Jason didn't waste a moment and ran for his life, getting out of the wood. He didn't bother to go back to the river. He knew Max would run back home. He had only his shorts with no shirt, and it was dark already. It was cold, but he didn't feel it. With the running, it wasn't that cold, but the pain in his shoulder was intense. He even forgot he had the ability to heal himself.
