Aurora stared into Hunter’s eyes, her voice trembling as she asked, “What did you just say?”

Hunter took a step closer, his expression unwavering. “I said I’m not here to reject you. You’re coming with me—to my pack.”

Shock spread across Aurora’s face. She pushed him with all her might, her defiance rising. “I’m not going anywhere with you! Reject me, or I’ll reject you myself!”

Hunter raised an eyebrow, a smirk curling on his lips. “I dare you to try.”

His eyes burned with anger, and Aurora’s heart raced. She was the daughter of Alpha Xander; she wouldn’t back down. Summoning her courage, she declared, “I, Aurora, daughter of Alpha Xander—”

Before she could finish, Hunter growled, his voice low and threatening. “If you utter another word, I swear I’ll wipe out your entire pack right here and now.”

Aurora froze, fear gripping her. She stammered, “Y-you’re standing in our territory. We’re strong—you can’t defeat us alone.”

Hunter’s smirk deepened. “And how can you be so sure I’m alone? What if my pack is waiting just outside, ready to strike at my command? What will you do then, little Aurora?”

Her breath quickened, her chest rising and falling with panic. “No… you wouldn’t. You can’t…”

Hunter’s voice was cold and unwavering. “Oh, I can. Surely you’ve heard the stories of the ruthless Alpha Hunter? Let me assure you, I’m worse than anything you’ve heard.”

Aurora’s eyes widened in horror. The deadly aura surrounding him pressed down on her, making her shrink back against the door. She cursed the Moon Goddess, unable to comprehend why fate had bound her to the most dangerous Alpha as her mate.

Hunter leaned in, his tone low and menacing. “I’ll give you two choices, Aurora. Either you reject me, and I slaughter every single member of your pack—no one will be spared—or… you come with me willingly, and peace will remain between our packs.”

Aurora stood frozen, her mind a whirlwind of thoughts. My father and brothers will protect me… They won’t let him take me… But what if his pack is out there, waiting for a signal to attack? What if they’re already prepared for war? What should I do?

Hunter closed the remaining gap, tilting her chin up with his finger so she had no choice but to meet his eyes. “Decide, little Aurora. I don’t like waiting.”

Before she could respond, the door burst open, and Luca stormed in. “That’s enough!” he growled. “I can't bear you near my sister. Reject her and Leave our territory right now!

Hunter didn’t even glance at Luca, his arrogance unwavering. “I’m not rejecting her,” he said coldly. “I’m taking her with me.”

Luca’s shock mirrored that of Ethan and Xander, who entered moments later. Alpha Xander’s voice thundered through the room. “No! You can’t do this. You will reject my daughter!”

Hunter turned to Xander with an infuriating smirk. “I’m afraid your wish won’t be granted, Alpha. Your daughter has already made her decision—she’s coming with me.”

Xander, Luca, and Ethan all turned to Aurora in disbelief. She kept her head bowed, unable to meet their eyes.

Hunter’s voice was sharp as he snapped, “Aurora, tell them your decision. You know I don’t like waiting.”

Aurora’s voice barely rose above a whisper as she spoke, “I’m going… to his pack.”

Luca’s rage exploded. He grabbed Aurora’s hand, pulling her toward him. “What are you saying, Aurora? How can you do this?” His voice cracked with desperation. “What is he saying?”

Aurora finally looked up at her brother, tears brimming in her eyes. Her voice wavered as she replied, “I have to go with him.”

Everyone was stunned into silence. Before they could react, Hunter grabbed her hand and started pulling her downstairs. As they reached the main dining area, Luca raised his voice in protest.

"You don’t have to go with him! If he won’t reject you, then you must reject him yourself!" Luca shouted, trying to stop Hunter in his tracks.

Aurora stood there, head bowed in silence.

Hunter smirked and turned toward Luca. "Your sister doesn’t have the ability to reject me. If she tries, she’ll die on the spot."

The room fell silent. Aurora’s eyes widened in shock. She turned to look at Hunter, her mind racing.

Hunter continued, his voice steady and cold. "Your sister is a hybrid. I can feel it—her scent is faint, and I can’t fully connect with her. If she reject me, she won’t survive. The pain would kill her instantly. Do you want that to happen? As an Alpha, do you want your daughter to die?"

The room was still as his words sank in.

Alpha Xander, Ethan, and Luca stood frozen, their faces a mixture of disbelief and concern. Hunter, wearing a smug expression, was about to take Aurora out of the mansion when the door suddenly opened.

A man with broad shoulders entered, his presence commanding attention. "Let go of her hand right now," he said, his voice firm and unyielding.

Hunter looked at the stranger man and looked at him with his piercing gaze and said "what if i don't"

Hunter held Aurora had more tightly and both the men looked at each other with heated gaze.
