Please leave me alone!

The man standing at the door was none other than Drake, the Beta of the pack.

Drake stepped forward and said firmly, "I am the Beta of this pack, and you can’t take Aurora just like that. She’s the Alpha’s daughter, not some rogue you can forcefully claim."

Hunter tilted his head slightly, his gaze dark and menacing. The way he looked at Drake made it clear he was ready to spill blood, to snap his head clean off his shoulders. Aurora could feel the tension radiating from Hunter, and fear gripped her for Drake’s sake.

"Please, Drake," Aurora pleaded in a low voice, her tone filled with desperation. "Stay out of this. Let me go."

Drake glared at her, his voice cold and accusatory. "Why are you siding with the enemy, Aurora? We can defeat him. You don’t have to be afraid."

Hunter’s voice cut through the air, chilling and deadly. "Oh, really? Then come and defeat me. What are you waiting for?" His killing intent was palpable, and everyone in the room knew that no one could match Hunter’s power.

Drake, fueled by anger, took a single step forward when Alpha Xander’s commanding voice boomed. "Drake, stop right now. Let Hunter take Aurora."

Drake froze, his confusion evident. He turned to question Xander, but before he could speak, Ethan interjected, "Aurora is Hunter’s mate. She has to go with him."

Shock washed over Drake. He shook his head in disbelief. "No, no, no... This can’t be happening. Aurora can’t be his mate. This can’t be true."

Hunter’s piercing gaze shifted sharply to Drake, his voice rising in anger. "It seems like you’re interested in my mate. Have you forgotten your place? You’re just a Beta, not someone who has any right to make a move on the Alpha’s daughter."

Drake’s anger burned like fire, but he masked it behind a cold, stoic expression. His heart ached as he watched Aurora, helplessly standing beside another man.

Hunter turned his sharp gaze to the Alpha. "How is it that you didn’t know your Beta harbored feelings for your daughter?"

The Alpha’s rage flared instantly. With a low growl, he snarled, "Watch your words when it comes to my daughter, Hunter."

Hunter stood his ground, his voice as cold as ice. "I have every right to question her now that she’s my mate. I can do whatever I want with her. And if she proves to be a woman of no character, I won’t spare anyone."

He turned his cold, unyielding gaze toward Aurora. "You’d better behave, little mate, or I’ll make your life a living hell."

The men in the room clenched their fists, fury brimming under the surface, but they all remained silent for Aurora’s sake.

Drake’s heart burned with jealousy and pain, but as the Beta, he couldn’t act without the Alpha’s orders.

Hunter gripped Aurora’s hand tightly and dragged her toward the door.

Aurora’s heart ached as she kept on turning around looked at her brothers and father. Her eyes were empty, her lips silent. She wanted to speak, but the pain in her chest was suffocating. She couldn’t find the words. And just then, her mother came running there .

Emily ran to Aurora and pulled her into a tight embrace. "Aurora, my darling, where are you going?" she asked, her voice filled with concern.

Aurora’s voice trembled as she replied with tear filled eyes, "Mom, I have to go. I’m going with Hunter."

Emily’s eyes filled with disbelief. She linked her mind with Xander, hearing her daughter's story, and tears streamed down her face. But there was nothing she could do to change it.

Hunter ignored the family drama and  tightened his grip on Aurora, leading her out of the mansion. Drake’s fists clenched, his voice a whisper of fury. "I’ll get you back, Aurora. No matter what it takes, I will bring you back to me."

As Hunter stepped out of the mansion with Aurora, a sleek car was waiting outside. The driver was already seated. Hunter gestured, his voice commanding, "Get in the car," and pushed Aurora inside. The two sat in silence as the car sped toward his pack.

Aurora sat motionless, tears falling silently down her cheeks. It felt like everything was slipping away, and she was powerless to stop it. Each tear deepened the ache in her chest.

Hunter’s voice cut through the quiet, harsh and demanding. "Stop crying."

Aurora shot him a glare, her eyes flashing with anger. "Don’t tell me what to do," she snapped. "I’ll do what I want."

Hunter’s patience wore thin. His voice was cold and sharp. "Has your father not taught you how to speak to an Alpha?"

Aurora’s gaze never faltered as she retorted, "My father taught me how to deal with enemies."

Hunter’s frustration spiked. He suddenly reached over, placing a firm hand on her cheek, forcing her to meet his gaze. "You will speak to me with respect. Do you understand?"

Aurora, still burning with defiance, didn’t fully grasp the danger of the situation. She met his gaze, unflinching, her anger growing. In a swift motion, Hunter pulled her onto his lap, holding her firmly in place.

Aurora was startled, her body positioned straddling his. She squirmed uncomfortably, her voice trembling with fear. "What are you doing?" Sweat beaded on her forehead as his hand slid to her back, pulling her closer. His grip tightened on her cheek as he said, his voice a low growl, "I’m telling you for the last time—don’t disrespect me. Or things will happen to you that you can’t even imagine."

Their faces were inches apart, the tension between them thick and palpable. Despite herself, Aurora felt a magnetic pull toward him, and the heat between them was undeniable.

Aurora’s nerves surged as she felt trapped, her voice barely above a whisper. "Please... leave me alone."

Hunter smirked, his gaze dark with amusement. "I like your spirit. I hope you keep it." Aurora lowered her head, her body tense as she nodded, her mind racing with confusion.

Then, Hunter’s hand brushed against her arm, pulling her even closer. His face hovered near her neck, and Aurora involuntarily shuddered. Her back arched slightly as she felt the tension between them grow. The air around them was thick with anticipation, their breaths becoming heavier, each moment stretching on unbearably

Hunter toyed with the strap of her dress, his lips brushing against her ear as he murmured huskily, "I want to see what’s beneath your pretty little dress."

Aurora shivered, her breath catching as Hunter trailed his lips lazily along her bare arm.
