Alpha ceremony part 1

Aleanas POV

After a very productive morning with shade we finally decided to get dressed and head to Shades house to tell his father and my father we were mates before the ceremony. As we pulled up into the drive way of the pack house we saw everyone running around making final preparations for the ceremony and I started to get nervous almost as if sensing my unease shade places a hand on my thigh and smiles “everything will be fine” he pats my leg before getting out. As we walk up to the pack house it’s almost as if Shades personality flipped completely. He went from sweet and caring to cruel and cold towards me within seconds. As we walk through the door his father smiles and walks up hugging me and him and smiles “ Aleana always a pleasure to see you and son your late but it’s fine your suit is upstairs waiting for y….” He stops as he sees the mark on Shades neck and the mark on my neck and his eyes widen “what’s the meaning of this?” He asks coldly and I shrink back and shade rolls his eyes “she’s my mate father, what else would be the reasoning” his words were cold and ruthless as if I didn’t mean anything to him and I look down and feel tears brim my eyes as I stay silent and my father appears right behind Alpha Eric and my father sighs “ Aleana you knew better then to just let your mate mark you with out telling me anything first” the disappointment in my fathers voice had broke me for the first time In years I was happy and yet I was getting yelled at for letting my mate mark me, my mate was now cold and acted as if I was nothing and his father was livid bc I wasn’t another alphas daughter. I couldn’t hold it back anymore as the tears flowed freely down my face and I yanked away from Shade and ran outside and into the woods. I needed to breathe and think and I couldn’t under all the cruel coldness the all held in their eyes like I was nothing. Before I knew it I was at the old river my mother had taken me to all the time before she died and I began to cry uncontrollably as I fell to my knees. “What is wrong with me how did I think everything would change” I tremble crying. Today I was to be announced as his Luna once he took over now I wish I never let him mark me. I wanted nothing more then to take back the other night like it never happened but it did and it hurt to know he thought that lowly of me. “Mom please help me” I whispered as I cried, and it began to rain as I sat in the rain crying I smelt his scent and before I could get up and run his big arms were wrapped around me and his scent engulfed me as I tried to get away I hear his voice breaking “baby let me explain please” I give up and start crying harder “why why should I you treated me like I was nothing and your father and my father did the same” I look at him and realize he had been crying and he whispers “it’s because my dad set up and arraignment for me to marry and mark the cold moon packs alphas daughter today and when he saw I had been marked and you had my mark he knew that his arraignment would be called off and it pissed him off. I didn’t mean to make you feel as if your nothing I had to keep it together so I didn’t scare you from blowing up. And as for your father his reasoning is because he knew of the arraignment and felt to blame for why my father and I would fight because he didn’t tell you sooner.” He grabs my face and kisses me and whispers “I would never hurt you like that nor will I choose anyone other then you” I sniffle and whisper “I believe you but just don’t let it happen again please.” And he nods as he picks me up carrying me back to the pack house and upstairs to his room. We both get dressed and ready for the ceremony when his father busts in and growls “ the arraignment is still on you will have Aleana as a mistress but have the cold moon alphas daughter as your wife” I stop in my tracks and look at Shade who is now extremely pissed. “like hell I will that is not your choice Aleana is my moon goddess chosen and it is not up for debate you made an arraignment before I even had the chance to find my mate all for power and I refuse to do it.” He growls and I feel my stomach turn as I run to the bathroom and throw up and tremble as I hear them screaming back and forth until Shades father finally gives in. I walk out the bathroom after brushing my teeth and I look at Shade nervously and he smiles as he kisses me and I blush. “Shall we?” He holds his hand out to me and I take it not asking any questions because I wasn’t sure if I wanted to know the answer to anything I had to ask. We made our way downstairs and out to the back where the decor would make a grown man cry everything was gorgeous the tables were set with black and blue and the roses were black and blue. The lighting was done with fairy lights and small lamps and the area was covered by the tress and the beautiful night sky filled with stars and the moon. I could see the staff really wanted to make it special for Shade and I smile. Shade guides me to the food and makes me a drink and plate of food and we sit and eat as we wait for the ceremony to begin. Alpha Eric then was set on stage and everyone fell silent. “Today we are here for the passing down of the Alpha title to my son Shade Andrews and after the ceremony we have another Announcement” everyone applauds as I begin to get nervous all over again.
