I don't know at what point I fell asleep, but when I woke up I felt the same pain in my chest. I didn't want to get out of bed, so my mother took my food to my room.

When the clock struck 7 p.m., my mother came back to my room with a couple of sandwiches /Honey, are you still sleeping?/ She said.

/Sorry, I'm tired/ I said hiding my sadness.

/My girl, Lucas will come for you in an hour, you have to get ready to go to the pack event/ She said.

Fuck, I didn't remember that I was invited to alpha Bennet's engagement ceremony.

/I'm sorry, I don't think I can go/ I said.

In fact, I didn't want to be there, it was certain that Freddy was there, and I didn't want to see him or have any kind of relationship with him and his family.

/What? You must go... You are invited, and alpha bennet is not persuasive with rejection. Come on, it's a rule, you can't disobey/ My mother said.

Thinking about it, I let out a loud growl and had no choice but to get up and take a shower to go to the event.

I put on a simple lilac dress, paired with white heels and light make-up. My hair was long and silky, so I didn't bother to comb it.

As soon as I was ready, I went down to the salon. By that time a car was waiting for me outside, so I said goodbye to my mother and got into the car in complete silence.

On the way I looked out of the window and clenched my fists. I couldn't let Freddy ruin my night, I had to get away from him and get on with my life.

As I continued to ramble, the car pulled up in front of the mansion. I thanked the driver and stood outside waiting for a couple of minutes until Lucas greeted me.

/You look beautiful sister/ He said giving me a slight smile.

He took my hand and we started walking the other way.  As soon as we entered the hall, everything seemed to be bursting with light; there was a beautiful and romantic decoration that made my heart go out of my chest.

As soon as he left me alone, I walked to a corner and looked at my phone. I tried to make time to leave, but suddenly my legs trembled and a delicious aroma flooded my nose.

I closed my eyes and felt a chill. I turned my head quickly, inhaling the enchanting aroma deeply.

I didn't know what the hell was going on, but suddenly my feet began to move without my consent.

But what the hell was wrong with me? My wolf was restless. Silently, in that I tried to take control of my body, but I felt that delicious scent getting more intense. 

“I must find him!” I suddenly heard my wolf.

On second thought, I inhaled once more and closed my eyes to go to the source of the scent. Without realizing it, I pushed my way through the people in front of me and stopped in front of the alpha family.

However, at that moment I opened my eyes and realized that everyone was looking at me. For a moment I felt that Freddy stopped right in front of me wanting to hold my hand. But I quickly moved my hands and concentrated all my gaze on the huge back of the man in the black suit. 

I inhaled a little more of his scent and felt fucking lost. I couldn't even control my thoughts as I approached the man and stopped in front of him.

/My mate! Mine, mine, mine! My mate!/ my wolf said over and over again.

When I heard her I opened my eyes like two plates. I hadn't even seen the face of my destined mate until that moment.

They all turned to me and started muttering. I shook my head thinking it was all a mistake, but indeed it wasn't, my destined mate was Bennet, the  brother of my ex-boyfriend.

Since I arrived at the mansion, all my attention was on the guests .

“Son, today you will introduce your future wife, you must set your wedding date as soon as possible” my father said in a whisper.

I turned my gaze slightly towards him as a growl escaped my lips. “Everything is going well, why do you insist on pushing the facts forward?”

Suddenly, my father turned to me and cleared his throat. However, just before either of us said anything, a voice was heard next to me, “Honey, you've got a Pack"

Agatha used to talk for hours while I just watched her. In fact, she would make a good honeymoon, and she was ready for all kinds of issues, but she just followed orders like a damn robot.

On the other hand, I grabbed a glass of wine and gave a speech to the members of my pack. Everything was going perfectly, until, suddenly, footsteps were heard.

But what the hell is this? In front of me was a girl with her face covered by a veil, who seemed to be sobbing while her hands were shaking nervously.

I stood motionless watching her for a few minutes.

“What's going on?” my beta's voice boomed in my head.

“Bennett, do you want us to take the girl?” my delta hinted.

I heard the voices of my officers over and over again through the mind link. Yet I just stood there, motionless, as if my body was not responding to my commands.

I wanted to grab the girl and take her somewhere else, demand answers, but I just stood there, watching her with all my fury.

“What are you doing, no! Get up now!” I ordered my she-wolf.

However, despite my words, my she-wolf just jumped and purred into my chest.

Fuck, I knew all eyes were on me. However, I was so lost in this man that everything around me clouded over.

“That's our mate! I want to touch him!” hinted my she-wolf with an excited yelp.
