I don't know at what point I fell asleep, but when I woke up I felt the same pain in my chest. I didn't want to get out of bed, so my mother took my food to my room.

When the clock struck 7 p.m., my mother came back to my room with a couple of sandwiches /Honey, are you still sleeping?/ She said.

/Sorry, I'm tired/ I said hiding my sadness.

/My girl, Lucas will come for you in an hour, you have to get ready to go to the pack event/ She said.

Fuck, I didn't remember that I was invited to alpha Bennet's engagement ceremony.

/I'm sorry, I don't think I can go/ I said.

On the way I looked out of the window and clenched my fists. I couldn't let Freddy ruin my night, I had to get away from him and get on with my life.

As I rambled on, the car pulled up in front of the mansion, I thanked the driver and quickly dialed my brother to escort me inside. I stood outside waiting for a couple of minutes until Lucas met me.

/You look beautiful sis/ He said giving me a slight smile.

He took my hand and we started walking to the other side. I opened my eyes in confusion and stopped, /Where are we going?/ I asked.

/It's this way, that room is only for normal guests/ He said.

I nodded without saying anything and followed his steps. As soon as we entered the hall, everything looked fucking lit up, there was a beautiful and romantic decoration, which made my heart shrink.

/Wait a minute, I have some business to attend to, can you enjoy the fountains, yeah? I'll be back in a few hours/ Lucas said pinching my cheek.

/What? Will you leave me alone here?/ I asked.

/Yeah, it's just a hiccup, besides, your boyfriend must be over there, maybe... Maybe you should call him? Soon alpha Bennet will be here and everything should be perfect, right?/ He told me.

When I heard his words I just looked down and nodded silently. My brother had no idea the hatred that ran through my veins towards that bastard Freddy.

As soon as he left me alone, I just walked to a corner and looked at my phone. I tried to make time to finally leave, but suddenly my legs started to tremble and a fucking lovely aroma flooded my nostrils.

I closed my eyes and felt my skin crawl. I quickly turned my head from side to side inhaling the enchanting aroma deeply.

I didn't know what the hell was going on, but suddenly my feet started to move without my consent.

In front of me there were many people crowded together watching alpha Bennet and his beautiful fiancée, the future pack Luna.

/What... what are you doing?/ I asked my wolf as I walked towards the crowd.

My wolf remained silent, at that I tried to take control of my body, but I felt that if I didn't find the owner of the intoxicating scent, I would die.

Thinking about it, I inhaled once more and closed my eyes to go to the source of the scent. I unknowingly made my way through the people in front of me and stopped in front of the alpha family.

Despite that, my attention was not on him, but on the owner of the intoxicating scent, I couldn't even control my thoughts as I approached the man and stopped in front of him.

My wolf howled with excitement inside me, but his words left me completely dumbfounded.

When I heard her I opened my eyes like two plates. I hadn't even seen the face of my destined mate until that moment.

They all turned to me and started muttering. I shook my head thinking it was all a mistake, but indeed it wasn't, my destined mate was Bennet, the alpha of the pack and brother of my ex-boyfriend.
