Emelda's POV

I stood in the kitchen, my hands at akimbo, and my lips formed into a smile as I stared at the bouquet of fresh herbs and spices in the kitchen sink.

I drew closer, turned on the tap and began washing them thoroughly, excited that I was going to be preparing one of my grandmother's famous soups, which can also be used for a hangover remedy.

I beamed as the aroma of the ingredients wafted up to my nose, “Hmmm, this smells just like those back then. Evergreen.”

My lips curved into a smile for almost the upteempth time as I imagined Bryan's relief after tasting the brew.

It was exactly six in the morning when I woke up. I was too worried for Bryan that I couldn't sleep. I had stayed almost all night watching him.

As I got lost in the process, my mind wandered back to the discovery I made after Bryan had passed out the night before. The thought made my heart leap, and I couldn't help but let a smile creep onto my face. I was pregnant!
