Cassandra’s POV

I sank back to my seat, victory smiles on my face as I wrapped my arms across each other and watched Bryan squirm out of the room.

I couldn't help but smile to myself, my victory bombshell, a simple and delicious meal well served.

As I sat relishing the shock on Bryan's face, the chairman walked up to me.

Standing up immediately he got to my seat, I took his hands he had stretched out towards me. "Thank you, Mr. Chairman," I said, my voice as smooth and cool as silk. "I appreciate your help in making my plan a success."

The chairman, a shrewd man if ever I met one, simply nodded, a knowing glint in his eye.

"I did what was best for the company, but I must say, you played that hand well, Cassandra. I assume you had your reasons for keeping your involvement under wraps?”

I shrugged, a playful gleam in my eye.

"Let's just say I'm a woman who likes to keep her cards close to her chest," I said with a wink. "And I know how to get what I really want."

The chairman chuckle
