Emelda's POV

My heart softened as I stood in front of the mirror, my fingers working deftly to fix my hair as I heard the pitter patter of tiny feet outside my room.

A moment later, the door burst open, revealing my two beautiful children, my heart swelling with love as I smiled at them.
