Hiii Favour here, author of My Unlovable Boss. I'm sure you already know that. I don't know why I feel the need to announce myself like that all the time.
Anywho, I want to say a big big thank you to everyone who has given my story a chance. I appreciate you from the bottom of my heart. Whether it's hundred, fifty, twenty, ten, five or even one of you reading my story it brings me happiness."Wow, someone out there actually likes the story I created, my characters and basically what runs through my mind."This story started as a hobby, a way to keep myself busy and stress relief. To think that it would grow from a mindless activity to something more truly amazes me. The characters have grown on me and I want to do my best to give them a story they deserve.I am still learning, I'll make mistakes and I'm sure five years from now I would even think "this could have been so much better" because I tend to be hard on myself. Until then, however, I am proud of what I have achieved thus far.My Unlovable Boss has been going strong so far but I am a student and have a lot doing in real life, pushing forward, I will be making weekly updates to the story. New chapter every Wednesday by 12pm WAT, 7am EST, 11am UTC and 7pm SGT.Thank you for supporting and I can't wait to see you next chapter!Ki La Di.Ji Won’s POV.“I should have a drink.”That sole thought brought me to the front of a small old building in a dark alley with the moon as it’s only source of light. The name sign was almost off its hinges, its name ‘Ki La Di’ was barely recognizable.“This must be the place,” I muttered to myself as I opened the door. The smell of smoke greeted me the moment I walked into the dimly lit room. I squinted my eyes to adjust to the poor lighting. Low music played in the background and there were about four customers scattered around the place.Three were seated at a round table, the other sat on the barstool with the bartender. The men at the ro
Jung Group HQ.Ae Ra’s POV.Baek Jin has been too busy handling the rumours about CEO Jung being a tyrant boss who sexually assaulted his workers and had power trips. He hasn’t been to work either leaving me all alone in the office which gave me too much time to overthink. It’s been two days since I’ve last seen CEO Jung. We’ve worked with each other for two months now and I’ve gotten to see different sides of him but nothing could have ever prepared me for that night. When I received that call and caught the first taxi that came to view I wasn’t sure what I expected to see but I knew I wanted to see him.And I did.In a way that had never once crossed my mind.
Lie Blu’s Apartment.Ae Ra’s POV.Chairman Jung… he’s been a bit different since the day that false news came out. Perhaps that’s what happens when you have a countdown to how long you have left to live hovering above your head. I stared at my reflection in the elevator glass. How much would I change if I was terminally ill? Would I be more honest with myself or would I be even more pretentious than I already was? Would I stand up for myself like people ask me to or would I be nicer and take everything life throws at me or worse… would I quit my job and go haywire?I sighed as the elevator door opened and my apartment floor came into view. Now that I’m unemployed, what can I do to occupy my time?A familiar silhouette was seated on the floor in front of my door. He wa
St. Mary’s Cathedral.Ae Ra’s POV.As I stood in the queue, the huge bald security guard in an all-black suit paid no attention to me while his slightly smaller colleague checked the guests' invitations. I was worried that someone might recognize me, so I covered my face with my hand. Although the rumours had died down, I didn't want to take any chances. For the occasion, I opted for a curly pinned bun, which made my face more visible. It was CEO Jung's recommendation, and it complemented my baby blue cottage core dress and bow-tied collar white blouse. Matching baby blue platform pumps, and minimal makeup. I completed the look with pearl earrings and a gold bracelet.Suddenly, someone bumped into me, and I hid my face even more while accepting their apology. I didn't want to risk being seen, as Ch

Lie Blu Apartment.Third Person POV.“What would it take to convince you to go out with me tonight?” Aaliyah groaned, watching her best friend, Matilda, type away tirelessly at her computer. Matilda’s long light brown hair was messily piled on top of her head in a bun. “Hellooo?” Aaliyah whined, desperation creeping into her voice.Matilda pushed her round glasses up her straight nose and bit her pink lips in concentration, her brown eyes glued to her MacBook, ignoring Aaliyah’s pleas.“Earth to Mal! Do you hear me?” Aaliyah waved her arms dramatically in front of Matilda’s face, but received no response. She knew if she didn’t intervene, her friend would be glued to that screen all weekend.“I’m sure we can go another day, Aly,” Matilda finally replied, her gaze never leaving the screen. As much as she loved spending time with her best friend, she was too comfortable in her sweatpants and tee to consider getting dressed up tonight.“Wow! A response!” Aaliyah shot back, sitting up str
Lie Blu Apartment.Matilda’s POV.Regret has always been inevitable. At some point in our lives, we all face it. Right now, I'm drowning in a heavy tide of it. I press my hands against my head, letting out a raspy cry as my veins throb painfully. It feels as if my skull might shatter, while my conscience angrily scolds me for putting myself through this torment. This is exactly why I didn't want to go out last night.Sunlight streams through the curtains, but it offers no solace—only harsh reminders of my misery. My stomach churns with a burning sensation, and my throat feels drier than the Sahara, begging desperately for water. I moan in agony, curling into a ball as pain radiates from my waist up to my neck. What happened last night? Why can’t I remember anything? Did I black out? How on earth did I even get home?My mind buzzes with a thousand questions, each one amplifying my discomfort. Something must possess me to drink so much; I only ever black out when I overindulge. Willow Incorporated HQ.Third Person POV.Matilda adjusts Chairman Willow’s tie, her fingers smoothing the fabric as she gives him a quick once-over. His grey eyes meet hers with a calm intensity, reflecting his patient demeanour. His silver hair, neatly combed back, has a few rebellious strands she promptly tucks behind his ear.Despite the stern mask he wears, the laugh lines etched into his handsome, aged face hint at a life full of joy. Clad in a tailored black tuxedo that fits perfectly, he radiates authority.Stepping back, Matilda gives him a small, admiring smile. “You’re all set, Chairman Willow.” She raises a thumb, her smile betraying a hint of nervousness. With a deep exhale, Chairman Willow strides into the boardroom, Matilda close behind. The executives and top shareholders rise to greet him. “I’m glad we could all make it to this impromptu meeting,” he announces, settling into his seat. The others follow suit. Matilda positions herself a few steps behind him, feeling the
