Belinda Morris sits in her office. Her eyes are as cold as the smile on her lips. Five years ago, her father and fiance stole her mother's firm from her. She always wanted to follow in her mother's footsteps. Her mother was the best lawyer in town. She will never forget the day they told her to walk away as she was not a good lawyer and was bad for the firm. Her mother died a few years before she graduated from Yale University. She was top of her class, and Jake, her ex-fiance, was always jealous of her. Her father has married again, and Jake broke off their engagement to marry her stepsister Amanda, a lawyer. Amanda is not a good lawyer. They changed her mother's firm's name from Morris and Partners to Jones, Green, and Partners. Morris was her mother's maiden name. She never took Belinda's father's surname, Jones. Morris and Partners are back in town and are already stirring the pot. All her mother's old clients are returning to Morris and Partners as Jake and Amanda are not the best in the business, and Henry Jones is too old to practice. Today Chase Stone is coming to Belinda. He is moving all his business to her firm. Belinda is nervous as she and Chase had a one-night stand before she left. She knew he was drunk and not interested in her. She must hide her son from him. Chase is a ruthless man. He is also one of the most eligible bachelors in America. He told her that night that he was uninterested in a relationship, but so was she. They were both tipsy, and somehow, the protection did not work. Her son Connor looks like his father, so she can not allow Chase to see him.

A surprise

Chase's POV Well, that was the last thing that I expected. The once ordinary-looking Belinda Morris has turned into a swan. She is gorgeous. I did not think that she would become that beautiful. I may be the wealthiest man in New York, but Belinda Morris is not someone to play with. She can be a very dangerous opponent. She knows the law very well, and I know she is one of the best lawyers in America. That's why I brought all my stuff to her. Jake and Amanda Green do not stand a chance against Belinda Morris. Their firm was already struggling. And now that I have left, I know many of my friends will also leave them. They are not worthy of being called lawyers. They are only in it for the money. They like high-profile clients and high-profile cases that will put them in the news and make them famous. I don't immediately drive away as I stand smoking beside my limousine. I do not like the smoke inside my limo. I do not smoke much. I only smoke when I feel like it. I don't know why I

A blast from the past

Jake's POV Jake Green looks at his ex-fiance. She has become much more mature, and looking at Amanda, he can see that she has grown in character, and she seems much more than a woman than Amanda, who still acts and looks like a teenager. Amanda goes for facials and manicures, and pedicures the whole time. She even had some plastic surgery done on her face to stay young. It does not fit a woman her age. The clothing that she wears is also much too young for her age. That is why nobody is taking her seriously as an attorney. She also tries to use a look to influence the jury and judges in court, which is not helping our firm's reputation. She keeps flirting with our male clients, and it pisses me off. I cannot believe that Belinda has a child. I am furious when Amanda calls Belinda's child a bastard. Chase Stone calls Belinda "Honey," and I am unhappy. And look at the little boy, and I look at Chase. I can see that it is his child, who has the same eyes and looks just like Chase. How

Uncomfortable situation.

Belinda's POV I see the two men standing there as if they have no purpose in life. I do not know what they want because I no longer need them. I don't even know why they interfered in my life. I look at Chase and Nick Bradley with a question in my eyes. "Can I help you two gentlemen with something else? Mr. Bradley, you can call my office to schedule an appointment. Mr. Stone has my office number. Now, if you will excuse me, I am having a date with my son," I say, my voice is not very warm. My voice is as cold as a winter breeze. "Mommy, why does this man look so much like me? Is he my daddy?" Connor asks. I love my son. However, at this moment, I can put a sock in his mouth to make him stay quiet. I wish he has remained silent because I can see the questions in Chase's eyes. "Honey, sometimes strangers look like each other. You do not have a father. I am the only parent that you have," I say. "Mommy, we have the same eyes. You told me that there are not many people with eyes l

My son

Chase's POV"I know what I said when we spent the night together. However, I didn't know that there would be a child. I want to get to know my son," I say. I look at Connor, who he is playing with the other kids. For the first time in my life, I feel proud. He is tall for his age. I want to know him. I want to be a part of his life."If he wants to get to know you, I will not stop him. It is all up to Conner. You can also not make false promises to him. You cannot walk away again if you want to be part of his life. What will happen if you get married, and your wife wants nothing to do with him?" Belinda asks. "I am not planning on getting married soon. Like you, I enjoyed my life as a single person. I'm not seeing anybody anyway," I say. "It doesn't mean you will not want to get married sooner or later," Belinda says."It will take a remarkable woman to make me want to give up my freedom. Same gloves for you. What if you get married, and your husband wants nothing to do without Conn

Grandparents

Chase's POV For the first time, I eat with my son. I ensure that he gets everything he wants. Belinda's eyes are soft as she looks at him. I can see the love for our son in her eyes. I a slightly envious of my son. I must admit that I do admire Belinda. She is the kind of woman that will make a man's heart beat faster. I can see the other men in the restaurant keep looking at her. I know they will not do anything because I think I am with her. I do not understand why it irritates me so much that men are looking at the woman that is the mother of my child. As I said, I must be alone and think about my feelings for her. As we are sitting there, I see my parents walk into the restaurant. I don't need this right now. My mother's eyes are like a bloody hawk's. She has already seen us and is looking at me, confused. I am sitting with a little mini-me on my lap. I see her showing elbowing my father and pointing to us. My father looks at me, and he frowns. I know it is evident that Connor i

In Trouble

Chase's POV Belinda and Connor get ready to leave. I get up to go as well, but my parents stop me. My mom looks at me with eyes that tell me I am in deep trouble. I sigh because I know they will have and talk with me. I am not in the mood to speak with my parents right now. All I want to do is be alone to think about what I am feeling for Belinda. However, I know I will not be able to escape this. The sooner I get it over with, the better for myself. "You are not going anywhere. Chase, we need to talk. You are a disgrace. How could you not know that you had a child? With how many women did you sleep? Ah, and you never thought you could have a child," My mother says. "We use protection, mother. I always use protection. You know I'm not stupid. How was I supposed to know that the protection did not work? Belinda never contacted me or told me I had a child. I was just as surprised as you were when I saw him this morning. Do you know how it feels to look into the eyes of a totally str

Is he, my daddy?

Belinda's POVConnor looks at me as we drive home and wants to ask me something. I know what he wants to ask me, and I do not know what I will answer him. My son is very clever for his age, as I said before. He knows too much, and I do not know how to prevent him from asking questions I do not want to answer. There are so many questions, and I do not know how to answer them if he asks me questions I do not want to answer. "Is Mr. Stone my father? Mommy, he looks a lot like me, and I know you do not want to talk about him. I want to know if it is my father," Connor asks me. "Yes, he is. It happened a long time ago, baby. And I do not want to talk about how it happened. Mommy made a mistake, but you are not a mistake, and you must never think you are. You are the best thing that ever happened to me. I love you with everything inside of me. And that is all you need to know," I say."I know you love me, Mommy. I am glad that I'm going to have grandparents on the father. Can I go to scho

Saturday with my son

Belinda's POVIt is Saturday morning, and I am making breakfast for my son and me. I am making his favorite pancakes with syrup and strawberries. I also made him a glass of freshly pressed orange juice. I get myself a toast and some coffee. I do not normally eat breakfast. I usually grab a fruit or something before I go to the office. Connor comes walking down as he smells the pancakes."My favorite! Mommy always knows what I like. You know, I will never trade you for anyone else, Mommy. I will not love my daddy more than you," He says as if he realizes I may feel insecure now that he has a father and knows about it. My son is way too clever for his age. He is way too mature, and I know it is my fault because he always thought he was the man in the house and would have to look after his mommy for a long time. I also allow him to be on the Internet too much and watch too much TV. He may be too clever for his age, but he is still my baby. I want to protect him against getting hurt, and

What is wrong with me?

Chase's POVMy team worked hard, and I kept Belinda and Connor busy while eating at the restaurant, so my team could move in. We helped the old couple move into the new home I bought them. Plus, I gave them money for this house as they did not want to sell. But when they saw the place I gave them, they were pleased. When you are a billionaire, you can get anything done in an hour or two if you want to. It does not matter how many people it takes to get you what you want. My team knows if I want something done, I want it done as soon as possible. There are also no excuses for failure. Now I am in my new house. I moved in last night. I just brought my clothes.I'm looking around my house and open the back door to look outside. That's when I see the most beautiful ass I've ever seen, pointing in my direction. I quickly realized my mistake and promptly returned to the house and closed the door. I do not want Belinda or Connor to know I am staying here. That was a close one. I will have to
