Chapter Ten

I looked at Daniel and saw that his eyes were wide open. I could not figure out why he was looking so surprised but then it clicked.

His girlfriend was sending a message to me and something told me that the girl was about to expose another of his secret. I never understood why I kept trusting this boy even after he gave me a thousand and one reason why I shouldn't.

Before I could even do or say anything, Daniel yanked the phone off my hand.

"Hey!" I screamed, ignoring the pain that shot through my hand that he had to pinch to get to the phone.

"Daniel give it back!" I ordered but he didn't listen. Rather, he ran out of my room but stopped at the door, abruptly.

I did not say a word to him and slowly, I watched him turn around. He had a sober expression on his face and he looked like he had been defeated.

"Can I have the phone now?" I asked still on my bed.

"Liv, I need you to understand something."
