I sighed and asked Sofia, "Do you want to have dinner with them?"

Sofia cast a glance at Jamie, who was on the verge of tears, and said nonchalantly, "I'll leave it up to you."

Jamie sat in the passenger seat, overjoyed, sneaking glances at me every now and then. Whenever I spoke with Sofia, he pouted, but he no longer threw himself on the ground and cried at every little thing. He had become much more sensible, but I had never disliked him for misbehaving, and I wouldn't love him for being sensible now.

These days, Vicente had been rushing between Casterview and Prodale. Although Jamie had a butler to take care of him, he often came to my restaurant after school, sitting alone at the dining table doing his homework until closing time.
