Third person. Kayla was doing well in her trainings. She had successfully taken away thoughts of the quad out of her mind and that was a good thing to do for her. Now, her main focus was on her trainings and figuring out who it was that killed her mother. Alpha Denver was a good alliance too and she was loving every bit of their relationship. She knew that he wanted her to help him out with something but that didn’t matter because she wanted quite a number of things too. She was taking a break from one of her training sessions when a servant walked in with a note from the Alpha.
Kayla.I stared at the letter one of the servants passed across to me and for some reasons, I had no strength to tear it open. It felt as though I had an idea of where it came from. My instincts turned out to be right because just as I had thought, it came from my mates…Jason to be precise.“Dear Kayla, I know that it’s been a while. I write to let you know that a lot of things happened already and it’s obvious that fate doesn’t want us together. We might be getting married soon and we hope that you move on too”, the letter said and for a while, I tried to decipher if I was only having a bad dream.
Third person. Kayla walked into Denver’s study with a determined look on her face. Getting the letter from Jason shattered every bit of her existence but also made it able for her to move on. It was hard to believe that they were planning to get married and asking her to move on. That was so painful…“I heard you got a letter”, Denver said the minute Kayla walked in. Kayla took in a deep breath and nodded in affirmation. “Yes. I did”, she replied as he gestured for her to take a seat. “They are getting married”, she dropped, prompting Denver to break into a loud round of laughter.
Their person. Kayla had to listen to Denver and do as he said. According to him, she had to show up as a strong person and not as one who was at their mercy. She had no idea of why he was against them and on their side. It was weird to see that he was giving her such an advice especially because of the kind of reception he gave to them when they visited. At the moment, it felt as though he was fighting them but didn’t want to say it. “A letter?” She had asked Denver who nodded.
Kayla I took in a deep breath as I walked out of my room and looked around the entire pack. This place was beginning to feel like home and for the first time in a long time, I was beginning to believe that the moon goddess really had a nice plan for me. It was hard to admit, but Alpha Denver wasn’t really a bad person just as I thought he was. Even, he was the best friend and confidant I’ve had in a while. My mates left me at a point where I needed them direly. I couldn’t think of any excuse to back up their act, despite how hard I tried to think. They were meant to stand for me and against whosoever it was that tried to pull us apart. However, it seemed as if they were fine with everything that happened and that tore me to the core. Not only that, Jason sent me a letter, informing me that they had moved on with their lives and I should do same. At first, it looked like a joke but the handwriting on the paper was very much that of Jason. This came at a point where I was really h
KaylaI looked at Alpha Denver again, wondering if he listened to what he had just told me. He gave me a reassuring smile after which he gestured for me to go on with exploring the cave. The cave looked creepy, with some marks painted around it and a very dim lit at the far end. I took in a deep breath as I nodded and finally started looking around. I couldn’t place my hands on why he said that I would find answers there because it looked nothing close to a place with answers. However, I was willing to do any length just to find who killed my mother.
Third person. Kayla was finally out of the cave. Now, she was sitting before Alpha Denver who stared back at her without saying a word. She gulped down hard as she forced back the tears that welled up in her eyes. Her step father killer her mother and even if she had a feeling of that right from the beginning, it was harder for her to accept it.“What now?” She finally asked after some minutes of lingering silence. He drew in a deep breath and focused his gaze on her. “It’s left for you to decide. What do you want to do to who killed your mother?” He asked Kayla who got numb and unable to utter a single word.
Kayla. For the first time since I was sent away from the quad, I realized that someone actually saw me differently and that was Aloha Denver. He made me realize that I was special and he decided to keep me in his care because he knew that no other person would see how special I am. I was glad that in him I found a friend and partner and even if I knew that he wanted something from me, I was ready to give it to him. Now, I was ready to visit the quad in my glory. I had
