Kayla I took in a deep breath as I walked out of my room and looked around the entire pack. This place was beginning to feel like home and for the first time in a long time, I was beginning to believe that the moon goddess really had a nice plan for me. It was hard to admit, but Alpha Denver wasn’t really a bad person just as I thought he was. Even, he was the best friend and confidant I’ve had in a while. My mates left me at a point where I needed them direly. I couldn’t think of any excuse to back up their act, despite how hard I tried to think. They were meant to stand for me and against whosoever it was that tried to pull us apart. However, it seemed as if they were fine with everything that happened and that tore me to the core. Not only that, Jason sent me a letter, informing me that they had moved on with their lives and I should do same. At first, it looked like a joke but the handwriting on the paper was very much that of Jason. This came at a point where I was really h
KaylaI looked at Alpha Denver again, wondering if he listened to what he had just told me. He gave me a reassuring smile after which he gestured for me to go on with exploring the cave. The cave looked creepy, with some marks painted around it and a very dim lit at the far end. I took in a deep breath as I nodded and finally started looking around. I couldn’t place my hands on why he said that I would find answers there because it looked nothing close to a place with answers. However, I was willing to do any length just to find who killed my mother.
Third person. Kayla was finally out of the cave. Now, she was sitting before Alpha Denver who stared back at her without saying a word. She gulped down hard as she forced back the tears that welled up in her eyes. Her step father killer her mother and even if she had a feeling of that right from the beginning, it was harder for her to accept it.“What now?” She finally asked after some minutes of lingering silence. He drew in a deep breath and focused his gaze on her. “It’s left for you to decide. What do you want to do to who killed your mother?” He asked Kayla who got numb and unable to utter a single word.
Kayla. For the first time since I was sent away from the quad, I realized that someone actually saw me differently and that was Aloha Denver. He made me realize that I was special and he decided to keep me in his care because he knew that no other person would see how special I am. I was glad that in him I found a friend and partner and even if I knew that he wanted something from me, I was ready to give it to him. Now, I was ready to visit the quad in my glory. I had
Jason. It’s been a couple of months since Kayla visited. Everyone seemed to have moved on with their lives but I could tell that there was a deep scar in the depth of their hearts. Our father seemed to have forgiven us because none of us ever brought up talks of Kayla and saving her from the other pack. According to Ethan, that was the best thing to do if we were going to keep her safe. Talking about her to our father would only trigger his rage and prompt him to kill her since he really wanted to. At this, we moved on with our lives…or so we thought.
Third person. The quad stared at each other and back at Kayla who was staring at them in their room. It looked like a dream because despite how much they tried to believe it, it still looked as if it was a dream. Jason felt as if he was at the verge of passing out. His heart was beating in a very slow manner and severally, he blinked his eyes to be sure that he was in the reality. “Kayla, is this really you?” Jason asked Kayla who took in a deep breath and locked gazes with him. She couldn’t express herself at the moment.
Third person. Somehow, their father got to hear of Kayla’s visit to the pack. A servant had rushed over to him the minute he learnt that Kayla visited and even if he didn’t want to believe it, he knew that nothing was impossible. He rushed into the quad room and just as the servant had said. She was there. He took in a deep breath and clenched his fist in fury. Nothing prepared him for her presence and he was still blank on how to react. She was his step daughter but he wasn’t ready to accept her.
Third person. Ethan had to organize a meeting with his brothers. He was the person known to have the capability of bringing them all together and so, this was a great time to do that. Kayla presence into their lives again was enough to throw them out of track, together with the revelation she made about their father being the person who murdered her mother. Their father was yet to hear of this and Ethan wanted it to be that way. “I believe her”, Jason said as he stared at his brothers, as though they were saying that she was lying. “We know”, Ethan added.
