Third person. Loud laughter coming from different people resonated the council room. It sounded more like a celebration…a celebration in the middle of a war. “What is going on? It suddenly seemed as if the war came to an end and now, they are having a kind of celebration?” Jason asked his brothers who were as confused as he was. They looked at him quietly, with fear and confusion plastered across their faces. “What does this mean?” Ethan asked, going through the various thoughts he had in his head but unable to come up with what the problem might be. “They played us. Our father is involved too”, Jason suddenly said as realization hit him.
KaylaWhen I used my powers, I used it because I sincerely wanted to save the pack from the enemies who attacked without notice. How would I have known that it was just a bait to lure me into showcasing the kind of powers I had inside of me? I was led into the council room, with the eyes of everyone around on me. My heart was almost beating out of my chest as I swirled around and caught sight of the quad who were still trying to get over their own shock. It was clear that they also had no idea of what their father was up to.
Kayla. What does father mean by saying that I would go to the enemy pack? My heart was beating at this point. I looked at the entire council and did find fail to see the pleasure in their eyes. This was what they wanted for me and there was nothing I could do about it. “Father please. You can’t do this to me”, I cried out, gulping down hard and wishing that for the very first time, he would look into my eyes and listen to me. “She is a big threat and we can’t keep her here”, one of the council members said and again, my heart broke.
Kayla. “Let me go, please!” I screamed out of my lungs, with tears pouring out of my eyes. “Don’t let them take me away! Please”, I said as I turned to the quad who were looking at their father and trying to persuade him with their stares. Despite how hard they tried to plead with him, he wasn’t making any attempt to listen.“Father, you can’t do this. She is our sister!” Jason finally said as he rushed over to me and tried to pull me away from the hands that firmly held on to me. “She is an abomination!” He declared, with his eyes burning in rage.
Third person. It was finally happening to Kayla. She was away from the pack she knew to be her home. Somehow, she always knew that this was coming, but she never dreamt of thought that it would come so fast. It happened in a split second and right before she could think of what to do and save herself. She had thought of using her powers but she kicked against it when it dawned on her that she might just end up hurting innocent people. Now, she was at a dark room in the enemy pack, with a metal like cuff wrapped around her neck as though she was a kind of wild animal.
Third person. It’s been three days since Kayla got taken out of her pack with the excuse that she was threat and needed to be taken care of. She was lost in thoughts and quite confused. The seer she met at the forest never told her that she would be in such a situation and so, she couldn’t think of the best way to act. Around midday, the room door clicked open and the Alpha walked in, with a big smile on his face. “Are you scared? You know that we won’t hurt you, right?” He asked Kayla who rolled her eyes in disdain.
Jason. I rolled on my bed and finally jerked up the minute I remembered that Kayla was away in some enemy pack and with an alpha I hated to the core. It’s been days now, but despite how hard I tried to think less about it, I couldn’t. How was I meant to think less about it? She was taken away, against her will! I had tried to speak with our father, together with the rest of the quad, but he was adamant and unwilling to change the details of his decision. After a moment of staying awake, I picked up my coat and tossed it over my body after which I walked out to take a walk around the pack. Life at the pack without Emily was like living without any reason or purpose. It felt empty without her and I literally had to push myself to keep living each day. None of us could leave the pack either because our father already placed an obstruction round the pack. He made use of his best sorcerer who did well in using a spell to create a barricade that would prevent us from leaving the if w
Ethan. I supported every bit of what Jason laid out to my father. If he wasn’t willing to bring Kayla back, we would go bring her back by ourselves. Just like I thought, my father wasn’t willing to listen to what we said. The look on his face showed that he didn’t care even a bit about what our plans looked like. He knew that we wouldn’t leave the park, and somehow, he knew that we won’t hurt ourselves. “You will kill yourselves?” He asked, with a wrinkled smile. “Too bad, because if you kill yourselves, I would blame Kayla for that”, he dropped.
