CHAPTER FORTY FIVE

—JASMINE.

“I’m exhausted!” Enora complains, making me stop on my track and tug the thick sweater on my body.

“I am too,” I say, clutching my stomach.

Honestly, I have no idea what I look like right now, but Enora looks absolutely terrible.

It's only been two days since we walked out on the Silvermist pack, and she's already dropped a ton of weight - just like me.

Her eyes are sunken, hidden under her eyebrows, and she's barely said a word.

It's like she's withdrawn into herself, and it's freaking me out.

The stress of all this is clearly taking a huge toll on her, both physically and mentally.

I can see it wearing her down, and it's breaking my heart to see her like this. This is why I never wanted her to come with me, I’m pregnant and sooner or later I’m going to start wearing her down
