I stretch my arms out in front of me while I look at them.
I still can’t believe that there was black fur there only a few minutes ago.
I really did it. I shifted.
I can’t lie. It hurt even more than I thought it would. Man, that hurt like hell.
Theo walks up behind me and wraps his arms around my stomach. “Hey, what are you looking at?”
A small smile dances across my face as I continue to stare at my arms. “I still can’t believe it. Just a few moments ago, I had fur all over my body and now, it is all gone.”
A soft chuckle rolls out of my mate’s mouth as he leans against my back while he tightens his arms around my waist. “Baby, that is what a werewolf does. I set down the last box in my new apartment. I can’t help but sigh. I would have never guessed that this is where I would be when I turn 28. However, what can I do, when I can’t stand to be in my own home anymore. Everything is just a sad reminder of what I used to have and what I was hoping the future would be. I sigh again as I look around the living room. The room is so bare compared to what I’m used to having. Well, it does have furniture which is a little old and warn since it came with the place.
