Chapter 72

Elias POV:

Damned! Those damn wolves poisoned me. They dared to put poison in the bomb. Whoever was hit by the explosion would not be able to heal the wound, causing a feeling of dizziness and always wanting to sleep.

I tried to drag my heavy feet into the bathroom. I splashed cold water on my face to help me stay awake. The clock rang loudly.

"Is it ten o'clock already?" I was stunned when I looked up at the wall clock. And I had been sleeping for a whole day.

I searched for my phone and then called Serena. I tried to act like I was fine so she wouldn't get suspicious. I didn't want her to worry or worry about me, so I tried to stop my connection with her. That's the wrong thing for me, and I can't feel her happiness or sadness; it makes me feel like I'm farther and farther away from her.

Her gentle voice, filled with magic, soothed my heart, and it was much more effective than medicine. I wish she were here, right next to me. Just hugging her makes me feel good.
