He bows and walks away. I then continue to walk into the town hall. I look around, but I don’t see Colter or Koen and, more importantly, I don’t see Emma. I continue to walk into the entranceway. The further I enter, the more I hear voices coming from one of the side rooms,

“What are we going to do?”

“Relax Koen. We weren’t the ones that hit her…”

“But he is going to be so mad, you can see that bruise on her cheek from a mile away… He had told us to protect her… But we… We… We allowed him to hit her...”

“No, we didn’t... We didn't know that was what John was going to do…”

"We were still supposed to protect her..."

“You may not have hit her but you did let John, where the idea of protecting someone is to not let them get hurt…”
