Finn then steps forward, stares at me for a moment, then turns and nods to Angie. She then looks at the warriors and says,

“Clear the room…”

I am surprised when they all slightly bow toward me and then leave the office. Angie shuts the door behind her. I look at Finn and raise my eyebrows. He takes a step closer and leans on the chair in front of my desk as he asks,

“Are you okay? You look drawn. When was the last time you fed?”

“I’m not sure, but I’m fine. I got a call from Alpha Samuel and we think my mother shifted last evening.”

Finn looks at me, surprised for a moment, and then he takes a deep breath before saying,

“His Highness contacted me just after those warriors arrived and said that your mother has entered into her heat so there is no way they can travel until it has passed…”
