I flick my eyes to Colter and he gets to his feet; I tilt my head, motioning for him to move. He nods his head and then steps back closer to the doors of the town hall before turning and walking inside. John looks over his shoulder and hisses at this but doesn’t get a chance to say anything as I then move up the steps and step closer to John, who seems to now be frozen in place and whispers into his ear,

“What did you think that just because Queen Emma is Prince Jeremiah’s weakness that it would have brought him to his knees and you would have either been able to kill him or use him?...”

I move just a little more closer and whisper even lower,

“It took two different strong poisons for my mother to kill me. What gives you the idea that just your pitiful strength and the holding of Emma would have given you what you needed to kill me?…”

“I…I…I…”
