KIAAN
I remove my fangs and seal my bite just as she collapses in my arms. I was sure I didn't drink enough to make her pass out. I frown as I pick her up bridal style and bring her close to my chest. I look down at her face and see the tear lines down her cheeks and wonder again if I had taken too much and actually hurt her. I let my senses go and smile when I hear her heart beating strong and steady.
I then feel her inside me before I pull my senses back in and restore the barriers in my head. I look around and take a step toward the cot in the cell, intending to leave her here for the other female to find, but the more I hold her, the more I touch her, the less and less I want to let her go. I groan as I close my eyes and whisper,
“I’m sorry, my pet. I can’t let you go. You are now mine.”
I take a step back and look up, making sure I am under the hole in the ceiling before I jump up and land on the ground
