I bow slightly as Sophia smiles and looks at Mac as she says,

“Mac, she will need some water to clean up those cuts. Can you run and get some?”

He nods, bows to me and then walks out of the hut once more. Sophia looks at me and then says,

“I don’t have much, your Highness, and nothing as spectacular as you are used to, but one of my dresses should fit you.”

“Truthfully, I prefer the simpler dresses…”

I stop talking, tense, and turn around when I hear someone behind me. I relax a little when I see Mac walk into the hut with two buckets of water; he smiles and says,

“The water is cold unless you are willing to wait for some of it to be boiled?”

“Cold water is fine.”

“Go and tip it in the tub.”

“I was just about to, Mother…”

I cover the giggle that escapes my lips at Mac’s words
