I jump as the phone on the desk rings; I lean over and pick it up,
“Emma, here.”
“Is this Queen Emma?” comes a soft female voice.
I sigh. I can never get used to anyone calling me that. Without Master Jeremiah by my side, I feel like a fraud. I, however, answer her as my people see me as such.
“Yes. What can I do for you?”
“I am sorry to hear about Prince Jeremiah. My name is Queen Amelia, Queen Isabelle and Prince Jeremiah made an alliance and a business deal with my kingdom and me.”
“Okay, well, I am still willing to honour the alliance they made with your kingdom if you would like to continue with it as well?”
“Yes, I would. However, we will have to update it to our signatures instead of my parent's and Jeremiah’s.”
“Oh, of course. Did you want me to travel to you?”

EMMAI am surprised when Odette comes forward a little and allows me to extend one of her canines just enough to place that small cut on my finger. She then steps back again as I place my finger in his mouth, he latches on and sucks. EMMA I spend the next few nights split between Queen Amelia and my normal duties throughout the castle and kingdom, as I thought it would be good for her to see how everything ran even without me moving through the kingdom or castle.Amelia and the twins were due to be on the plane just before dawn to return to their kingdom. We arranged to meet in my office to make any changes and resign the alliance. I carried Adonis with me as I entered my office. I had Finn place a small portable crib in my office for Adonis so I could monitor him while I did some of the mountains of paperwork that goes with being a Royal.I had been in my office for about an hour when there was a knock on the door. EMMA I was expecting it to take longer, but it didn’t take Finn and Ali to organise and set up for the changing and crowning ceremony. They set up a stage in the middle of town and called a full kingdom gathering for the next evening so that Queen Amelia could be on the plane home just before dawn. I wake up the next evening and take care of Adonis’s needs and then get ready for the gathering. As I am standing off to the side of the stage, I am not sure if I can do this, yes they all like me and have all benefited from what I have done but that does not mean that they will agree with me being crowned their Queen and then accept Adonis on top. THIRD PERSON Emma snaps out of her memory when she hears Benjamin hiss and sees him step closer to her so that he is now only an inch away from her and slightly in front of her. She looks up at the males approaching and takes a deep breath before standing up straight, then slightly stepping around Benjamin and stepping forward, much to Benjamin’s annoyance. With Benjamin just behind her, she stops and waits for Elder Elio and his son Colter to stop in front of her. Elder Elio smirks as he says, “Now that was even easier than I thought it would be… See Emma, you are weak just like you have made this kingdom weak, just as I thought you would…” Emma is puzzled at how it was so easy for him to enter the kingdom, but doesn’t let it show as she smirks at him, making his falter just a little. EMMA I still don’t remember much of my life with Samuel before our 7th birthday party and then a lot of what I do remember is the cold and dark from the cell Master Jeremiah kept me in and even when I was in his chambers it was always cold with only a small amount of light.As I got older, he allowed me a little more freedom to come and go as I pleased out of my cell but only within his chamber and then once I turned 18; he surprised me even more by allowing me to attend that celebration, dancing with him while everyone watched and then taking me somewhere private for my first shift.I didn’t know much about mates, but when Odette had come to me and said that Master Jeremiah was ours, it explained a little more about how and why I was drawn to him and even when he was punishing me I had always felt safe with him.
