Benjamin carries Emma to the guest room two doors down from where the Queen had asked him to put her, not trusting her to be in a good mood once she has finished with Prince Jairo and his entourage.

Once he enters the guest room and closes the door behind him, he makes his way through to the bedroom. He looks down at the female in his arms and notices that she is still very pale and her heart rate hasn’t improved, so he sits on the side of the bed with Emma in his lap.

He once again bites into his wrist and moves her slightly so that he can place his wrist over her mouth. He knows that Prince Jeremiah used to give her some of his blood and he would do it for two reasons. The first was to keep the blood bond between them strong and the second was for healing.
