Maya and Claire are the first to show, of course, I felt the slight disturbance that happens when Maya uses Spike to jump from one place in the territory to another and anyone would think that these two are mates as you never find one without the other.

I smile as Jeremiah jumps just a little next to me at their sudden appearance; I look at Maya and see that they are the violet eyes of Spike and say,

“I see that you two are still connected at the hip, but could you have at least stopped off and picked up Sam on your way?”

“I don’t like travelling with her like that. I would rather run…”
