The next few days and nights passed with no problems as I make sure to be down in the kitchen when Luna Skyler walks in to help with the pack meals for the day. I help and hover close to her without making it too obvious that I am trying to stay as close to her as possible. I stay until the light of the sun gets too much and I have no choice but to go to my room for the day.
It seemed to be working. Two weeks after the first time, Samuel offered me some more of his blood, which I took, but like the first time, I only took a couple of mouthfuls before closing my bite on his wrist.
