Doing Things Differently

We alighted from the car that was parked at the roadside and asked the driver to drive back to the palace, leaving us alone.

At first, he insisted that he helped with our luggage and helped us set up the tent, but told him it was part of our honeymoon and he had no choice but to excuse us.

“That was quite convincing,” I mumbled as he wrapped my arms around my waist and planted a kiss on my cheek.

“If there’s someone else with us from that part, it’s not just our honeymoon anymore.” He responded, adjusting the bag on his back and that which he pulled.

“You know I can help you with one of those, right?” I said, looking at the bags and he shook his head.

“It’s our honeymoon. The last thing I want is to stress you. It’s been a tough month after our wedding. I want to make it up to you.”

“You’re doing that already, baby,” I responded, planting a kiss on his cheek too.
