I got to Trump’s door and knocked. “Trump. Are you there?” I asked, placing my ear on his door.

“Who is there?” His voice was low.

“It’s Anne. Can I come in?” I asked, keeping my ear against his door.

“Oh… come in.” He responded, and I opened the door and walked into his room. I found him lying on his bed and he turned his head to look at me.

“How are you?” I asked and he shrugged.

“What do you think?? I can’t move the way I want.” He answered, and I nodded slowly.

“I’m sorry about that, Trump. I wish things had played out differently.” I responded, sitting on the bed.

He held onto the bed and pulled himself up. “It’s not your fault, Anne. I was robbed.”

“Maybe if I had stopped you from leaving that day, you wouldn’t have been there when they robbed you,” I answered, and he shook his head again.

“It’s not your fault. And I’m glad you’re here to right your wrong. It’s still pretty surprising though.”
