My Lycan PrinceEpilogue two. Ten Years Later…Avery Cole.Coming back to the island was something I told myself I’d never do. Not after Grandpa Dwayne and My father wanted me to go into their business. I didn’t want to make a name for myself and that’s exactly what I did.I had my name legally changed to Avery Cole instead of Martago. That last name carries with it a power that I wanted to possess but I wanted to gain that power on my own with my own name.I left the island at eighteen and went to college in California. I haven’t left the state since. After I finished business school I got my first job and from there I went on to create my own company Cole Enterprise. It only took me six years to do it. Both my parents were proud of me for what I have accomplished but I still dreaded coming back to the island. But my sister Sierra is getting married to some high school sweetheart and begged me to come. There’s a reason I left the island. It wasn’t because of the family business.
Josephine When Kurt and I started our lives in a small town in Washington I thought this would be our forever home, our happy place. The town was small and quiet and Kurt managed to get a job working at a factory the next town over. After a few months passed our next journey had begun and we were expecting our first baby.It was the happiest time of my life. What I didn't know was that the town was owned and run by creatures that shapeshift into wolves.Who knew they even existed? Are all the dangerous predators real?I thought this town would be our happy place forever. A place where Kurt and I would grow old together but I was wrong, oh so wrong.A man dressed in a fancy suit showed up at our house one day. Kurt must have known the man because he bowed upon seeing him. The tall man entered the house, his brown hair was combed back nicely and his thick body barely looked like it got in that skin tight suit.“Riley,” Kurt greets. The man nods once. His eyes land on me and then trave
LilyToday Rose and I turn fourteen. Mother and father are throwing a party as Roses request. Me on the other hand could have cared less. I didn’t want a party that would be full of people I did not want to see, Rose only wanted to see Ethan and her friends.I don’t have friends. It's better this way to not get attached to someone when you could be swept away at any giving moment. “Happy birthday, Lily,” My brother Wyatt says walking into my room. Wyatt has always been my favorite amongst my brothers. Wade found love with a girl that moved here with her family and Riley gave him the opportunity to leave if she did not wish to live this lifestyle. Wade had been working for Riley since he was ten years old; he would do anything Riley asked him to do no matter how difficult the request was. Jenny, the girl Wade loved, didn't want to give any babies she would have in the future away, so with Riley’s consent Wade left us last year.I miss him.“Thanks,” I half smiled at Wyatt. Wyatt ha
“Lily, phone for you,” Mother walks into the living room to tell me then she walks back to the kitchen. Wade and Jenny are coming to visit, Mothers has been cooking for hours now. “Hello?” I pick up the phone.“Lily,” “Wyatt?”Wyatt was breathing heavily like he’d been running and now he was out of breath.“Yes, look Lily. I don’t have much time,”I frown what the hell is talking about? He doesn't have much time?“Wyatt, what’s wrong?”“We did it, Lily. Noel and I ran off,”I gaped.Wyatt fell in love with Noel, the girl that Riley brought. I’ve told him countless times he didn’t need to be seeing her if Riley found out he’d kill them both.“Are you crazy? Riley will kill you,”“His men’s been chasing us. Look Lily, I called to tell you, I didn’t abandon you. But I deserve to be happy and Noel makes me happy. No matter what happens I will always love you,”Tears stung my eyes. It sounded as though he was saying goodbye.“I love you, too,” A sob slips past my lips.“I have to go now
My Lycan Prince.Chapter three. The world is still moving around. It's like everything is in slow motion moving around me in blur. My family talks to me but I can’t hear them. Wade has been walking me to and from bed since last night. Jenny and Rose help me dress, I can’t do it every time I breathe it hurts and when I close my eyes I see Wyatt’s face and the horrible death he suffered for a girl he loved so I don’t sleep.I’m sitting in the front row of St Walters Catholic Church today for Wyatt's funeral and the thought of never seeing him or hearing his voice again has fresh tears stinging my eyes. As Father Dugan finishes the door to the church opens and Riley walks in. My eyes are on him as I watch him take a seat on the right of the church in the second row. The nerve of this bastard is unreal. My mother stiffened but she didn’t say anything nor did my father. Three days of walking like a zombie and endless nightmares and sleepless nights I stood on my feet and walked off balance
My lycan princeChapter four.“Lily, you don’t have to go with him,” Wade assures me. I nod my head.“I know. Archer told me it was my choice,”Wade furrows his brows.“Why didn’t you tell me that you’ve been talking to him?”“Yeah why did you keep this a secret?” Jenny chirped in.I shrug my shoulders.“I’m not sure,”Wade pulled up at the airport and my phone dings.:I’m behind you.I glanced up from the screen and Wade's eyes were on me.“He’s here isn’t he?”I nod.Ding.I glance down.:Will you come with me Lily?I closed my eyes and inhaled a deep breath and exhaled.:Okay.I replied and got out of the car Wade grabs my bags and walks me toward Archer's limousine.“Lily, no matter what you can call Jenny and me and we will come to get to you,”Nodding my head I embrace my brother.“I love you Wade,”He tightens his hold on me and tells me that he loves me so much.Archer opens the door and Wade's body tensed.I take steps toward Archer and Wade grabs my shoulder.“I’ll come and
My Lycan Prince Chapter five.I‘ve never in all my life seen a place so beautiful. Isla Martago is far from a small island, it's a huge island in the middle of the ocean. It's so breathtaking….the beauty of it.The breeze that comes off the water is cool and it ruffles through my hair as I hang further out the window to get a better view of the city. Buildings stand tall along with statues and a flag. It's a gold flag with a black crest in the middle along with the name Isla Martago. Archer hasn’t said a word since we got into the limousine but that goes two ways I guess and I haven’t said anything to him either but I have been kinda busy staring at this beautiful place that I get to call home. The limousine maintained a good speed as the driver whipped in and out of lanes earning some honks from cars he had cut off. The sun was setting making the ocean look like the burnt orange sky. I inhaled a deep breath closing my eyes, imprinting this picture in my mind. Wyatt would have love
My Lycan Prince.Chapter six.Archer softly squeezes my shoulder.“Lily, we’re here,”I open my eyes and sit up.“Sorry I fell asleep on you,” He shakes his head.“It wasn’t a problem. Shall I show you to your room so you can shower and lay down for the night?”I nod my head. After being on the plane for hours my legs are killing me along with my back.Archer climbs out of the limousine and reaches his hand for me. I take it and thank him as I climb out. It’s dark, very dark but the ‘Palace’ as Archer called it was lit up and what he called a palace was a castle-like mansion that looked to be centuries old. Archer doesn’t let go of my hand as he leads me through the old and very heavy doors.I stopped in my tracks and my eyes widened. The main entrance had not one and not two but three grand staircases and the ceilings went on for miles. The palace was filled with ancient artifacts and paintings and it was decorated with modern architecture with wooden floors. “Wow,” I breathed.Ar
