Chapter 17. New Projects 5

"Kindly take us away from your list," I informed him.

"I will do that right away," he promised me and I appreciated him.

After the call, my father asked me, "Why did you not introduce yourself as the Prince?"

I smiled and explained to him, "He would like to give me preferential treatment, and I will not be free to learn everything I need to learn."

"That's intelligent of you," my mother said with a broad smile.

"You are a worthy prince. Keep it up," my father complimented me.

"Thank you for the compliments, Mom and Dad," I appreciated them.

To make them happy and avert their attention from my intentions, I spent a longer time with them. Afterward, I left them and returned to my chamber with a heavy heart.    

Meanwhile, Celestine and the rest were through with their meal and returned to their duty posts. My knight did not suspect anything. Therefore, I walked into my room quietly and began to mourn my disappointment.

"Shouldn't he have sought my opinion before taking that decision?" I murmured and sat down.

Then, my mind began to wander about many things.

(I hope he has eaten?)

(How was his grade?)

(Did he make a good one? Why was he always sad?)

(I hope my fellow gays are not disturbing him?)

The questions were endless and they made me sad. However, I recalled his handsome and innocent face. The picture of us eating together and his shy face brightened my day. Apart from that, our trips to the cafe and the envious looks on the faces of other gays gave me some sense of dominance.

"You belong to me, Julius. I will come for you six months from now," I said and cheered up.

The Gold Field 

It was a fruitless journey to Westminster as the CSO watched the emissary walk in miserably.

"I was informed by the gateman that they did not employ any male janitor," he explained.

To transfer aggression, he blurted out, "Did you believe that? You should have pressed further."

"I did by asking if anybody brought an application for a job two days ago and he said no."

The CSO was lost in what to do. He looked at the messenger for a while before he pouted. Nevertheless, he was happy that he did something.

"We have done our best. Next time, we will be more careful," he informed the messenger.

"Do you think that Mr. Zenith would take that from us?" He asked in trepidation.

"Let's hope for the best," he encouraged them.

Nevertheless, I was hopeful that Julius had the interest to work in a gold field and confident that I would fish him out. I had contacted all my friends and associates to inquire about a fresh employee but got negative responses.

"Why do you want to know, Reuben?" One of my friends, Wilson asked me.

"Oh! He did well in the interview but we can't find him again," I explained.

"Huh! That's weird. What about his details? I mean his application letter."

"My CSO goofed up and did not collect it from him before sending him to me."

"He must have performed exceptionally well. Otherwise, you won't be looking for him."

"You are right."

"Your bad. If I see him, I will employ him forthwith. You don't deserve him," Wilson teased me not knowing that he had hurt me.

I ended the call angrily and began to nurse my wound. At that point, I remembered his lovely face and experienced hardness in my manhood.

"How do I get him?" I asked myself helplessly and rested my head on the chair. 

I was thinking of the right way to get Julius when my phone rang and cut my thoughts. I ignored the call, but the caller would not let me be. It kept ringing and I angrily looked at my phone and was shocked.

"Johnson. Why is he calling me? Has he found Julius?" I asked myself.

In anticipation, I picked up the call and greeted him, "Hello, Johnson. What's up?"

"Hello, Reuben. What about having lunch together?" He asked me and killed my enthusiasm.

I had no choice but to accept the offer. At least to save me from thinking too much and being lonely.

"Why not?" I accepted.

"It is all right. I'm coming over," he proposed and cut the call.

I looked at my phone and pouted.

"Can you imagine his audacity? Why can't he have lunch with his wife?" I asked myself. 

Without delay, I called my clerk and she appeared at once.

"I am expecting a guest for lunch. Kindly provide for two," I instructed her.

"I got it, Mr. Zenith," she responded and walked away while I began to wait.

Not quite long, Johnson arrived.

Julius' House 

I was reading the manual on my phone when my mother walked in and asked me what I would have for lunch.

I smiled softly and answered her, "You are not strong enough to do such work alone."

"I think I am. Just say what you want," she stated.

To avoid arguing too much and stressing her, I dropped my phone and got up.

"We can prepare the meal together," I proposed.

"I thought you were busy with the manual of your phone. Continue. I will be fine," she declared.

I walked to the kitchen silently and she followed me.

"You should not have bothered yourself," she said and we began to cook our poor food that was void of nutrition. Soon, the meal was ready and we began to eat.

"Remember that you will go for your SIM card registration," my mother pointed out.

"Yes, Mom. I will leave earlier because of that," I answered her.

"That is good. You know the items you need to go with. Right?"

"Yes, Mom," I answered her and we continued to eat.

Afterward, I returned to my room and rested for a while. Then, I got my documents for the SIM card registration and walked out of the room. Until I left, my father was not at home.
