Chapter 11. Fulfillment 2

To avoid my father's wrath, she restricted herself to her room while Milo and I did the house chores. Nevertheless,  I was wondering what he would eat. From all indications, he did not have breakfast before returning home. My mother and I had our lunch in her room after serving Milo.

I Heard him snoring and after a while, I heard him speaking with someone over the phone. I guess she was one of his clients.

"It's okay. I will have lunch with you," he concluded with the person and the call ended.

Instantly, he began to dress up. When he opened his door, I ducked into the kitchen to avoid greeting him. He walked out carrying a laundry bag. As usual, his wears depicted wealth and class. Soon, he got into his car and drove off. I walked to my mother's room and met her peeping at him from the window.

"I will deal with you," she said not knowing that I heard her. 

Meanwhile, I returned to my room and picked up my book to rehearse all that Andrea taught me. Unfortunately, I could not because I slept off and found myself in dreamland. Mr. Zenith was giving me a hot chase while I was running and calling out Hendrick's name for help.

"You are mine, Julie," he called out while chasing me.

I ignored him and continued to run to a strange place.

"I have come to take you, My love," he persuaded me.

Shortly after, I saw Hendrick with a worried look. He was troubled and could not see me. However, when I screamed, he turned and came to rescue me. Instantly, Mr. Zenith brought his gun and was ready to shoot him.

"Noooo!" I screamed aloud.

"Julius," my mother called out.

I opened my eyes and saw her standing by the door. No doubt, she was disturbed by my voice and had to run to my rescue.

"Yes, Mom," I answered him.

"You are talking in your sleep," she said.

"Oh!"

"Yes. Lie properly, and you will sleep well," she said and walked back to her room.

I was pleased that she did not ask me questions about the dream. I was scared to go back to sleep and, at the same time, worried about Hendrick.

"How do I see him and ensure that he is safe? Why is Mr. Zenith chasing me? I never promised him that I would visit him today."

When I could not get answers to my questions, I decided to read my book. Not quite long, I was through and began to get ready for work.

In Westminster 

My knight knocked on my door after the ladies served my breakfast and left.

"Your breakfast is ready, My prince," he informed me.

"I got you, Philip. I will be with you shortly," I informed him.

"It's okay," he said and began to wait for me.

I got up from my bed, walked into the bathroom, and washed up. 

The thought of finding Julius occupied my mind and gave me inner strength. I thought of what reason I would give to my father to visit the school and came up with a good one.

"I will tell him that I wish to equip the laboratory department as part of my corporate social responsibilities," I concluded.

Soon, I was out of the room and I met the team waiting for me in the parlor. They rose at once and greeted me accordingly. I responded happily and we settled down to eat. We fine-tuned our plan to visit France while eating and arrived at a good conclusion.

"The king will give his consent without hesitation," I informed them and they were happy.

Afterward, I walked to the throne room but my father was not there. Likewise, I strolled to his chamber and met him at the breakfast table.

"Good morning, My King. Good morning, My Queen," I greeted them and genuflected.

They were happy to see me. I was not aware that the joy to see Julius was obvious and they misinterpreted it to my relationship with the girls.

"Good morning, Son," they responded one after the other.

"You may rise," my father said and I did.

He offered me a seat and I sat beside my mother.

"Which of the ladies have you chosen as a wife?" My father asked me.

I could not process what he meant until my mother added, "All the girls are beautiful. Anyone he chose would be a good wife."

"You are right," my father concurred and they faced me for my answer.

"Are you talking about those imbeciles that you called janitors?" I asked them rudely and their countenances fell.

They exchanged looks before my father faced me. Before he could speak, I announced, "I have come to discuss important things that would bring progress to our kingdom. I will wait for you in the throne room."

Without waiting for his opinion, I got up and declared, "I will be in the throne room," and walked away.

"Huh!"

"Don't keep him waiting, or he will change his mind and wreck the kingdom," I heard my mother advise him.

I laughed inwardly and walked on. He took my mother's advice and stopped his breakfast. I got to the throne room and sat in my seat. Within a jiffy, he was with me.

He focused on me and I began my explanations. I hardly landed when he got up, spread his arms, and said, "Come to me, Son, for a hug."

I obeyed and hugged him. He tapped my back and said, "I know that you are capable of taking the kingdom to an enviable height, but I was not expecting this. Thank you for coming up with this."

"I'm happy to know that you love it. I promise to do more," I assured him.

He released me, and I returned to my seat and sat down, and he sat down as well. Likewise, I informed him of my intention to visit my high school and identify with them.
