Chapter 8

Simon looked at my flat belly in disbelief, his face twisted in shock.

“A child? Did we once have a child?”

Simon stood frozen for a couple of seconds, then suddenly clutched his head in anger and began to back away rapidly. The next second, he kicked Lily in the chest.

“I’m going to kill you!”

Furious, Simon jumped on Lily and started punching her repeatedly. Lily was defenseless.

“Mr. Gates, I’ve been working for you for five years. We’ve known each other for ten years. I’ve already been punished. Isn’t that enough? And you never told me you were married. I handled all the women who harassed you very well…”
